The piano of El Tornado was recorded to compose a song that already had lyrics and structure. But the piano seems to have had other plans. The song ended up loosing its lyrics and letting the piano take over. Structures erode and eventually become something new; and Carla Valenti’s full power remix took this even further. Smooth and groovy with lots and lots of juicy bass.
Time will be the water that shapes noises to become melodies.

Davis Harks and Max Essa return for 4 tracks of impeccably produced dreamy pop, balearic wanderings and hypnotic chug.

Magic Eyes kicks things off with a track that hints at the sunset of acid house with chugging rave keys, a back-in-the-day bass synth anda  whole heap of soulful melancholia. It’s a deep, slow groover with strangely hypnotic, repetitive vocal murmurings that soar.

Plastic Bones has baggy poetry that flows along to a positive mantra shining bright; “come let it go, take the first step to lighten the load, you're one of a kind'. Joyfully strange and lovely, there’s a Beta Band mood to go with dreams of the Mediterranean.

Finally, Blind Horizons is a pure extended odyssey of lilting polished pop. David wrote the song with the idea of taking a listener through a journey, aboard a Cosmic Starlight Cutter. An epic and vast voyage, the sentiment is a reminder to keep searching. With a more classic song feel, it is driven by classic piano chords and cycles, drum machines, and layered synths.

A collective based out of Lisbon & London who have delivered for us the Shell Beach EP, a collection of four sunny cuts rich in colour and melody and packed with dance-floor power perfect for the rise in temperatures. On the remix Joe Morris applies his balearic beach breaks vibe while Statues slows the tempo with a chugging Italo-house refix.

First on the scene is HLLW (pronounced as 'hollow') who churns out an organic drum'n'bass banger with eerie layers of odd vocal echoes and a gurgling bass rumble. 
Label boss Kenneth Bager himself sits down with the trio to rework the material into a dark brooding extended mix that could easily fit the soundtrack of a John Carpenter flick. 
Last up and fresh on the scene, Upping the tempo considerably the NYC duo of Bryan Mette and Justin Strauss (yes, THAT Justin Strauss!) dons their Whatever/Whatever mantle to flesh out the original into a much more hungry club creature, agile and warmer yet with that air of New York cool that really hits you on all levels.

It's been just over two years since the launch of our podcast series, and after 49 episodes and by our maths about 350,000 beats, we've reached our first milestone. Who better we thought to call upon to record our half century than our good pals at Wolf + Lamb, the mix coming exclusively from Baby Prince, the artist formerly known as Gadi Mizrahi. This special, extended episode was mixed live at Farbfenseher, or as Gadi calls it 'the Marcy of Berlin', a club which encapsulates the vibe of the collective's spiritual home in Brooklyn. Spanning house, hip hop and disco this mix is exactly why we can't get enough of this label, and anyone that has been to one of our Wolf + Lamb parties over the years will definitely recall hearing some of these sexy ass tracks. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the series so far, and to all you subscribers out there. Here's to the next fifty : )
