long ago i wanted to try and combine the flute and guitar.
so i took some vintage beat from 90-s, recorded some basic chords and let the flute do some improvisation.
sounds nice!
i really appreciate this duet.

there's a set of few live performances from 2019.
they have a common name, though, because basically, that was the main idea of my 2019 - waking up.
waking up like Neo in Matrix did, like "where the hell was I? where am I now? WHAT'S GOING ON???!!"

it follows my previous works, but with a slightly different approach (haha).

pt2 features my friend playing GUSLI (traditional Russian folk instrument, translated to English as"psaltery" or "harp").

this one I recorded while my wife and 3 kids were far away.
I was sitting in our empty house,
it was getting cold outside, so I light the fireplace and just watched the fire burning,
I always like to be alone, but that time it felt like I was alone in the whole world.
like no one would ever come back to me.
and then I felt sadness, it crawled like a snake, it whispered in my ears.
and then I heard music playing inside,
and then I just took my Takamine, opened Garageband on iPhone and started recording,
and then came relief.
and I called this track "moya l'ubo'v" which is translated as "my love".
my love carries me away, and at the same time, it gets me grounded.
my love enlightens and destroys,
it's joyful and painful.
that's what "moya l'ubov'" is.
