@galtier returns to Plasma Sources with Mainframe Incantation, a five-track release marking the 7th position on the label’s roster. First appearing on the Multi Source compilation earlier this year, Galtier now moves beyond the mechanical, sci-fi focus toward a sound that fuses technology with the divine, inhabiting the liminal space between worlds. 

Rooted in the earliest traditions of percussive music as a vehicle for altered states, Mainframe Incantation channels ritual energy through synthesised and digitised means, closing a cultural loop from origin to present. The result is a tension between the spiritual and the mechanical — feverish, dissonant, and hypnotic. 

The journey begins with "Ausmisis States", a restrained, technical opener of squelchy basslines and coarse pads, setting the stage for contact. "Tincture Pump" bursts through next—erratic, bouncy, and high-velocity, with a swelling distortion lead that injects chaotic energy straight to the bloodstream. 

In "Tink Cycle", the pace slows into a groove-laden trance, its caustic bassline dragged forward by steady kicks and splintering snares. At the centre lies "Hex Crawler", a gurgling, otherworldly entity speaking in alien tones before breaking into a vast, unearthly climax. 

Closer "Phantom Tremors" hurls us back toward reality with hasty techno-inflected percussion, metallic strikes, and roaring sub-frequencies. Pulsing hardware bleeps push the final surge, sealing the ritual in a haze of digital energy. 

Ausmisis States

Following their contribution to Superclasico Vol 2., @tomsobolikmusic officially joins the Clasico family in a major way!

Five new tracks from one of the US underground’s most exciting voices, Heavy Eyes finds Sobolik refining their sound while reconnecting with their roots. Written over eight months between June 2024 and February 2025, the record came out of a moment of recalibration. After a run of dense, chaotic releases, Sobolik stripped things back and turned their focus to groove and percussion, gravitating towards techno, tribal house and dubstep for inspiration – but never long enough for any one genre to define them.

The result is a set of tracks that balance dissonance and playfulness, with a renewed emotional core. “I wanted to hone things down,” they explain. “None of them are straightforward bangers, but they’re all playful, charged, and connected to the deep reverence for pop music that’s always driven me.”

Musically, the EP takes influence from Trekkie Trax, 85 Acid and Yaleesa Hall, late-‘00s dubstep pioneers like Appleblim and Peverelist, and the DJ worldbuilding of CCL, Gigsta, Objekt, and Kiernan Laveaux. But at its heart, it’s rooted in Sobolik’s most formative experiences in the North American underground, channeling the unbridled spirit of DIY raves like Montreal’s Layer05 and STM, Philadelphia’s Chrysalis and Concréte, New York’s Groovy Groovy and TOSSD, and of course Sobolik’s own Antidote nights. “This music is for those floors,” they say. “The places that captured my heart.”

As their seventh EP, Heavy Eyes feels like a sure step forward. “It comes from me DJing more, deepening my knowledge of how dance music works on the body and on a crowd,” Sobolik reflects. “I feel more confident now, put less pressure on myself – and I think the tracks are cleaner, more distilled.” That maturity doesn’t come at the expense of personality, though: this is still music full of texture, humour, and an air of “why the fuck not?”

The EP closes with a remix from Swedish innovator Peder Mannerfelt – ‘business (techno) in the front, party in the back’ personified and one of Sobolik’s earliest inspirations. “He’s been flying the flag for freaky, fun, bassy techno for years,” Sobolik says. “His tracks set my gold standard for dancefloor music – I did not expect he’d be so immediately down to remix my material, and I’m really humbled by his support.”

With Heavy Eyes, Sobolik delivers their sharpest and most focused work yet: club tracks that are fierce and frenetic, but also deeply earnest.

Perc Loop Princess is the second single on the EP, before Heavy Eyes drops in full on October 2.

All Centre welcomes Helsinki-based producer Rizio to the roster for his debut on the label. After a breakout 2024 with his first EP on No Snakes and a recent standout appearance on YUKU’s Fresh Faces compilation, Rizio continues to refine his intricate, bass-heavy sound on the Hyperobject EP. Rizio merges geometric rhythms, warped textures and sub-aquatic bass with vaporous tonal movements.

Digital Spell sets the tone with discordant drones and pounding kicks, quickly locking into a mechanical yet hypnotic groove. Metallic accents and glitched textures scatter across the surface. Dubbed-out bass hits enter the mix as the track strikes a perfect balance between a heady atmosphere and a physical dancefloor cut.

The title track Hyperobject lurches forward with a mangled vocal loop and surging bassline, rising to feverish intensity before collapsing into a skeletal, broken-beat rhythm. Rizio’s dynamic sound design creates constant pressure and release, making this a devastating peak-time tool.

Closing track Channel Code emerges with a sub-heavy, atmospheric intro before launching into a high-tempo electro-inspired groove with dubby snares ricocheting through the mix. As the track morphs and grows, an elusive vocal hook slowly surfaces, anchoring the track as it evolves into a shadowy, late-night driver.

Hyperobject is available across all digital platforms from October 17th.
