This feminist retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses from the Brothers Grimm was a Challenge from the February Album Writing Month (FAWM.org) to write a song with a mixed time signature.  I also not only changed from minor to major, but actually changed the key going from Am to G.

This hit me in 2021, out of the blue at the chinese restaurant across from the Doubletree in which OVFF is held.  We were eating when Joan Jett's song came on and....I was off...
The song took less than an hour to work out and might have a little bump or two, but it was well received then and since.
