Following the hugely successful international release of Techno Monkey Remixed Vol. 1 at the beginning of July – an epic package which came complete with a trio of eclectic remixes from Paul Kalkbrenner, Camea and HITO – Kuukou label boss Simina Grigoriu now continues her campaign to further revitalise the 2016 hit record, as she announces the next three artists set to participate in the ongoing studio project. 
Due for worldwide release on Friday, July 30, Techno Monkey Remixed Vol. 2 sees Simina warmly welcome three of the most exciting names on the European techno circuit right now, as Lilly Palmer, Filterheadz and [ Wex 10 ] each step up to the plate to deliver their own unique interpretations of the hard-hitting original. 
First up is rising French techno star [ Wex 10 ]. Following a recent Beatport Top 10 for his topically-titled dancefloor weapon, Crypto, and with a slew of hard-hitting releases clocked on the likes of Odd Recordings, Second State, IAMT and Orange Recordings over the course of his career, the burgeoning young Frenchman now makes his long-overdue Kuukou debut, putting his uniquely dark and techy spin on Grigoriu’s emphatic original.

In the mid-1980s, the Filterheadz made their first musical steps by playing in a pop band. Bert played guitar, Maarten was a drummer. Their role models were bands such as U2, The Police and Simple Minds, and still today these influences are audible in their songs.

After a whole series of pop, rock, metal and R&B projects with rather modest success, they continuously approached the field of electronic dance music through remixes by Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and David Morales. Therefore, their recent productions are strongly oriented towards the American House scene.

In 1998, they were contracted by the Belgian label Headroom Music. After a few publications under various pseudonyms, they decided to opt for the name "Filterheadz". At that time, Jo Casters' attention was raised and he ordered a number of remixes from them. Their interpretation of "Struggle for Pleasure" (Minimalistix) became a club hit. Inspired by Deep Dish and John Digweed, they advanced to progressive trance and with remixes for Hooj and Platypus scored more club hits.

When the Filterheadz were contacted by Intec Records, they produced a Latin Techno track "Sunshine", which was to be played on Ibiza as a summer song. More remix work for Green Velvet, Bedrock, Eddie Amador, Tiësto and Oliver Lieb followed.

After producing the best-selling techno record of the year, they began to search musical diversity again and published their first mixed genre CD "Tribalicious". The first album is in progress and will be a mixture of Electronic Music and Independent.

Collectively, the Piatto brother's knowledge and contribution to the history of Dance Music runs deep. Davide being co founder of N.O.I.A one of Italy's first electronic live acts to perform and record with drum machines and synthesizers as early as 1978. It is not surprising then that for Alessandro, following in his brothers footsteps was inevitable and he too became hooked on the incredible new sound palette emanating from the early electronic machines.
During the 80's the Piatto brother's continued to push boundaries in what was then the very infant stages of Dance music with Davide recording tapes, later to be released under the name Klein + M.B.O with releases such as “Dirty Talk” considered to be the first Chicago House Record. During this Time Alessandro grew in confidence as a producer and also taught himself to mix adding DJ skills to his repertoire.
Eventually at the ending of the 90's, Davide and Alessandro joined forces to work on a new N.O.I.A. album for the US label Ersatz Audio which was quickly followed by collaborations with G.D. Luxxe as "Raymond Barry" and released the single "TV Night” which was included in Pete Tong's BBC playlist and Ivan Smugghe's compilation called "Death Disco".
Since 2005 Davide and Alessandro have formed two of the biggest Italian Labels, namely Italo Business and N.O.I.A Records and have released on many labels such as Toolroom, 1605, 303Lovers, Italo Business, Respekt Records, Stereo Seven, Echoes Records. With support from Umek, John Digweed, Dubfire, Da Fresh, David Amo & Julio Navas, Phunk Investigation, Christian Cambas, Axel Karakasis, Spektre, DONS, Fergie, Pan-Pot, Richie Hawtin and more others.
Piatto's passion for music remains the same today as it did in the beginning, with many Beatport top 10's under their belt they certainly show no sign of slowing down.

Patrick DSP has been smashing sound systems around the world for several decades, starting in his native Canada, and finally landing himself in Berlin, where he currently resides. Beginning his campaign of techno in the mid 90s in Toronto, he soon delved into the production side of things, and eventually managing. A quick study in the technical realm, he fast found himself manning the buttons for renowned labels such as Kne’ Deep Records and Unknown Forces, providing mastering, production and remixes for various labels, all the while building his repertoire of twisted pristine sounds.

In between jumping from Canada, to Brazil, to Berlin, Patrick managed to expand his abilities, not only making music from film scores to blistering techno, but also using his mastery of production to teach others their way around a studio, giving classes and lectures around the world. Never one to rest on his laurels, he was also performing across Europe, South America and North America, spreading his techno sound from intimate local clubs to festivals such as the Love Parade in Germany, ADE, MayDay, Awakenings, Fabrik, Tresor and many more.

His musical skills, along with his diverse range of technical ability, have not only resulted in an impressive discography of international releases, but have also allowed him to collaborate with some of the most talented names in techno, earning him the reputation of a true techno Renaissance man. DJ, Live Performer, Producer/Composer, Remixer, Sound Designer, Audio Engineer, Mastering Engineer, Label Manager, and Teacher; Patrick is a force to be reckoned with in the techno world.
