Giã biệt là một bản nhạc không lời mang tinh thần tống biệt hành – tiễn đưa mà không níu giữ, chia xa trong an nhiên.

Âm thanh mở ra như hơi thở sâu giữa thảo nguyên: drone đàn dây Mông Cổ trầm dài làm nền, tiêu sâu và thở chậm dẫn lối, nhị hồ kéo chậm như tiếng lòng chưa nói hết. Những tiếng gảy thưa của koto rơi xuống khoảng lặng, không nhịp trống, không cao trào, chỉ có sự đi và sự ở.

Bản nhạc không kể câu chuyện bằng lời, mà để người nghe tự thấy hình ảnh: một ngọn đồi, một vầng trăng nhạt, một bóng người quay lưng lên đường. Không bi lụy, không oán thán – chỉ là chấp nhận rằng có những cuộc gặp sinh ra để tiễn biệt.
