This summer will mark 5 years since I've put out a song under the name "Final Words of a Martyr." 

I am incredibly proud of the music I released for the EP "Within the Blackened Wings," and much has changed since 2012. 

I have been informed and inspired by many experiences and have gained newfound wisdom. From founding this project through hatred in its infancy to carrying it on with emboldened strength, confidence, and most importantly love...this is the next step. 

If you've read this far, I thank you; but for now...enough exposition.

This song was based on the Arab Spring as Mubarak and Gadahfi were both taken out of power. It is also based on other historical overthrows such as bringing down the Nazi regime and the dictatorship under Hussein some years ago.

FINAL WORDS FIRST EP ANNOUNCEMENT
"For You & Me..." 

Welcome to the first of three tracks that will be brought together for a Tribute EP dedicated to heavy metal band System of a Down entitled "For You & Me...". As one of the most important influences to Final Words, songs such as "Innervision," "Toxicity" and "Prison Song" have resonated deeply into the sonic, cognitive and emotional fabric of this project that has made the flame of appreciation for heavy metal music burn brighter. The songs listed will recorded and packaged together for this EP with the aim to showcase familiarity and reinterpretation simultaneously. The greater aim of this project is to respectfully honor a band with the deep depths that are deserving great justice. 

This work could not have commenced or reach this point without the collaboration and production virtuosity of Charlie Borruso of Woodshop Productions; whose feedback, notes, and belief for the process has made the experience astronomically fulfilling. Many thanks to you good sir as well as a major thanks to one of the best artists I have ever had the blessing to know...Bed Hermin. Your work perfectly captured the essence of the studio track...I am honored that you were a part of the artistic process and presentation of this Tribute EP.

It has taken a long time to finally get something out for this project. For the first few releases, I intend to record all of the parts of the songs on my own until a proper line up is formed. I feel in doing this, I have totally and truly immersed myself into the music I have written. The only release I plan so far is an EP/Demo entitled "Within The Blackened Wings," which will have 5 songs including the debut track "Conscience In Despair."
