How Fast Does This Thing Go ?

The first full track I ever did.
Dodgy editing techniques and a lack of proper VSTs are an issue [ How I'd have killed for a Taurus bass pedal !! ], but I'm still proud of this.
Takes an age to end though ...

subHuman

Not very good first part. And about twice as long as it needs to be. 
From the point that section ends I love this to bits. 
It's got some 'wonky' FX in there too; towards the end.

Fool's Errand

I had the idea of doing something for a fictional movie score., built around a basic chord pattern that grows and grows. Deliberately repetitive at the start. It ended up not being how I first imagined it, but that's how a lot of stuff ends up.
eBow'd to the max. I'm more than happy how this turned out.


Dead Meat

An attempt to use more exotic time-signatures and using just the bass line during what would be the verses [ I guess  ? ].
The end-bit gets a bit muddled, and OTT. 
But I like the drums, and how it builds from the quieter middle part into the finale.

Pandemonium & Its Reflection

E-Bow ahoy !!

I wanted to do something straight-up and simple.
Verse / Verse / Chorus / Middle-bit / Verse / Chorus / Outro.

I really like the whompy bass.

Cause and Effect

Pink Floyd influence. Dibbling and dabbling about with keyboard-y sounds.
Started backwards by completing the last section first.
The opening bit is based on an abandoned idea which was going to be some collaborative effort about a haunted house, or a haunted shop, or a haunted ship ... ?

The Dream Half-Remembered

A journey through a bad time in my life.
Not all of it works; some of it should be consigned to the bin and re-done, but other bits ... I'm really happy with how they turned out.

.... like a desiccated corpse being rolled down an embankment in an old sports holdall.
The first smell of defeat in your opponent's eyes ...

Actually, it's just doing something fast for the sake of doing something fast. Rattling along at 180 bpm. Fairly straight forward and fun.

Storming the Gates

Having vented my aggression during 'Storming the Gates', I'm now totally mellowed out, man.

The Long Lost
