Making a dynamic return after last year’s “The Haze” and a variety of compilation appearances, The Nilk delivers “it is now, that we seek recompense.” through Unbeyond Anthologies.

Continuing on a similar wavelength to their debut Unbeyond release “why is it now, that i’m falling apart?”, this new single is a sprawling, atmospheric dubstep song packed with ominous soundscapes, dark spoken word, and unnerving, metallic drops.

“This style, this long-form ambient-dubstep blend is something I’m very happy to be pioneering. Just as ‘why is it now, that I’m falling apart?’ from last year, this track seeks to delve even deeper into the lore and storytelling of the world of The Haze. Blending styles of dark ambient with the ghastly themes of horrorstep, ‘it is now, that we seek recompense’ will drive you further towards the edge of sanity.” says The Nilk. “The protagonist continues their journey, coming to terms with the formless haze that they have released. This creatures runs rampant through their mind, stripping our protagonist of their individuality and attempting to take full authority over their mind. Despite their headstrong nature, we may find our protagonist falling off the edge, not too far into the future. Prepare, our planned demise may begin sooner than you may expect.”
