Sean Pierce debuts on Mannequin Records with an intense dark / techno modular synth 6 tracks EP. 

Currently operating out of Portland, Oregon, Sean is one half of ASSS, who put out two acclaimed singles on Mannequin Records parent label Haunted Air Records. 

One of the most fascinating elements of Sean's artistic principle is his absolute lack of propriety over his artistic work, which is a beautiful and radical approach. He encourages people to check out his set-up at shows to see what he's concocted. A performance is enjoyable in part because he's able to share information, for he believes a collective pool of idea sharing and advancements into how people think and what they're doing is "really important for the creative community.

Sean is interested in the rearranging of elements within a performance: taking sounds that he or someone else has made and sending them through his particular process. Specific categorization is not applicable to his sound projects, but he says there is something industrial about it, a metallic quality that is, of late, satisfying. The most appropriate articulation of his music might be: the percussive use of synthesizers.

Edwin Mathis White (from the band Tonstartssbandht) creates a capella DIY gospel as Eola using loop stations and antiquated vocal processing effects pedals recorded to tape. On stage or on tape, Ed's performance is dang spiritual. Edwin currently lives and grew up in Downtown Orlando, Florida but has spent the past 11 years living mostly in NYC, and sometimes in Montreal & Baltimore. The album Dang drops Sept. 23rd with Leaving Records on Vinyl, Cassette, and Digital. Blessed be.

Soho Rezanejad - I Wasn't Made To Swallow the Tide

Degradia (2018) is a sound work by Anni Puolakka and Miša Skalskis, originally made for an exhibition of the same name. They were inspired by some old Finnish poems in which vulva plays a central part and becomes a powerful character of its own right. Parts of Degradia are translated and altered lines from these poems, for example, where vulva is likened with a biting dog's jaws and a running wolf's gums.
