A true enigma in French exploitation cinema and a key exponent in JeanRollin’s expansive family of forward thinking French creatives, Pierre Raph delivered four soundtrack commissions to the ABC film company between 1971 and 1974 commencing with Requiem Pour Un Vampire and ending with the bizarre Les Démoniaques. The lost score for the film Le Rose De Fer from 1972 presented a new challenge for both director and composer marking Rollin's departure from his vampire movie comfort zone to this surreal melodramatic ghost sex story and resulting in perhaps the duo’s most unique collaboration. Combining bizarre vocalisations, stripped down minimal piano and subtle Parisian funk themes (echoing the likes of Alain Goraguer's La Planete Sauvage and Karl Heinz Schäfer's Les Gants Blancs Du Diable) Le Rose De Fer arguably hears Raph at his most accomplished, adhering to a solid consistent theme tune and using a varied range of disciplines to convey it via the films precarious schizoid screenplay. For fans of Rollin regulars Acanthus, Philippe d'Aram and Francois Tusques this release is essential, but as a stand alone piece Le Rose De Fer is totally unique and, like the film itself, succeeds as the tortoise champion taking first place on many long-term Rollinades lists while his trademark vamps dodge the sunlight.

Theory Therapy 49 was recorded on a sunny morning in Chicago by outsidenightair. 

We're really pleased to welcome Allison on to the series. Her interest in the more delicate aspects of sound is evident in all of the mixes she makes. Last year, we also got to hear that in some of her own productions. She gifted us with a texturally beautiful track on the Out of Season Vol.2 comp, plus teased a couple more things on SoundCloud. We can't wait to hear more.

Her recording moves from stripped-down folk to richly textured ambient. It contains all of the qualities we love about Allison’s own music — patient, luminous and warm. Sit back and enjoy.

We're delighted to welcome on noods radio for the 17th episode of CISTYT, «ОО0оϙ0О0О00О»: a sound art duo of @oo_aa and @optovolokonniy, assembled in Lisbon in a serendipitous twist of fate after the 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This project is a heartfelt exploration of kinship and care, delving into the metaphysicality of human touch and reflecting on inner connections to the heritage. Both oa and ϙue are skilled at achieving ethereal states through their own medium: oa uses her natural voice, while ϙue creates voiceless synthetiscapes. Together, their auditory output weaves a beautiful tapestry of emotional release.

Behold Finders Keepers, a British record label, 40 years in the making, introducing fans of psychedelic, jazz, folk, funk, avant-garde and whacked-out movie musak to a lost world of undiscovered vinyl artifacts from the annals of alternative pop history.

Catering to record collectors and DJ-producers alike with a huge emphasis on sample friendly soundscapes, rocksteady back-beats and primitive electronic experimentalism. Discerning purveyors of the bizarre and abnormal should expect the Japanese choreography records, space-age Turkish protest songs, Czechoslovakian vampire soundtracks, Welsh rare-beats, bubblegum folk, drugsploitation operatics, banned British crime thrillers and celebrity Gallic Martini adverts... presented on CD, 7" and traditional black plastic discs in authentic packaging.

Following in the very same footsteps as the mind boggling "Music To Watch	Girls Cry" and "Songs In The Key Of Death" mix CDs for Fat City Records and the original 5-star rated Finders Keepers compilation LP in 2001, Manc-based vinyl-vulture, recording artist and record producer Andy Votel enlists the skills of fellow B-Music DJ and Rare Disc Detective Doug Shipton to form a team of psychedelic librarians and cosmic-pop-quiz-elitists to run their new Twisted Nerve distant sister-label, leaving no progressive pebble unturned or record collection un-rifled.

Future compilations and re-issues will feature collaborative curators such as David Holmes, Cherrystones and Bob Stanley and further contributions from mystery A- / B+ pop-celebrity fanatics of outsider music and ultra-rare bakelite discs.
