Missing a disk in his spine when he was born sent him naturally on a quest ! Since then he's been digging hard to find records for the love of music. Organizing his first underground rave party in 1992, he's been promoting and playing at parties all around the globe, playing at some very exclusive spots in Paris and London like the Murano and Kube hotels, la Terrassa, Follow The White Rabbit in Paris and Hakkasan, Sketch, Trapeze in London. He's been lucky to rock Cannes movie festival, Calvi on the Rocks and Horizon festival in Bulgaria. He’s now back in France around Bordeaux, playing for the Iboat and you can find him every week at Sous la Robe in Saint Émilion or on the beach during the summer at La Cabane de Lespecier, . His music is groovy, funky, colourful and uplifting.

For those unfamiliar with Tako Reyenga, the Dutchman is co-founder of Redlight Records along with Abel Nagengast, one of Amsterdam's finest second hand vinyl outlets and a shop you lose countless hours in digging for gems. In addition, Reyenga is also responsible for the running of Music From Memory alongside Nagengast and Jamie Tillier, a label that has swiftly become a favourite of many collectors and selectors thanks to retrospective insight into the work of Gigi Masin, Vito Ricci and more. This mix from Reyenga for Juno Plus has been a long time coming.

Back in January, the core Juno Plus editorial spent a Friday night in a busy Hackney Wick venue for an event programmed by Melody As Truth and Music From Memory. A gentle and wholly rewarding performance from Gigi Masin was the main draw naturally, but we were left just as impressed by the selections from Reyenga as part of his back to back set with 'Young' Marco Sterk. Soon after came the bright idea to seek out Reyenga and size him up for a podcast, with the Dutchman happily agreeing without really settling on a submission date.

Fast forward several months and numerous podcasts later and Reyenga sends through an understated email on a Friday evening in July with a link to a mix he'd recorded the previous day. Given his reputation as a record digger, explored in Resident Advisor's wonderful feature on Reyenga last month, we were understandably excited to hear the results. In contrast to Reyenga's selections that night in Hackney Wick, or indeed the excellent back-to-back set with Orpheu de Jong recorded at Lente Kabinet earlier this year, this mix for Juno Plus is a much more contemplative listen; see it as an 84-minute ride through the more experimental corners of his enviable record collection.

Behold Finders Keepers, a British record label, 40 years in the making, introducing fans of psychedelic, jazz, folk, funk, avant-garde and whacked-out movie musak to a lost world of undiscovered vinyl artifacts from the annals of alternative pop history.

Catering to record collectors and DJ-producers alike with a huge emphasis on sample friendly soundscapes, rocksteady back-beats and primitive electronic experimentalism. Discerning purveyors of the bizarre and abnormal should expect the Japanese choreography records, space-age Turkish protest songs, Czechoslovakian vampire soundtracks, Welsh rare-beats, bubblegum folk, drugsploitation operatics, banned British crime thrillers and celebrity Gallic Martini adverts... presented on CD, 7" and traditional black plastic discs in authentic packaging.

Following in the very same footsteps as the mind boggling "Music To Watch	Girls Cry" and "Songs In The Key Of Death" mix CDs for Fat City Records and the original 5-star rated Finders Keepers compilation LP in 2001, Manc-based vinyl-vulture, recording artist and record producer Andy Votel enlists the skills of fellow B-Music DJ and Rare Disc Detective Doug Shipton to form a team of psychedelic librarians and cosmic-pop-quiz-elitists to run their new Twisted Nerve distant sister-label, leaving no progressive pebble unturned or record collection un-rifled.

Future compilations and re-issues will feature collaborative curators such as David Holmes, Cherrystones and Bob Stanley and further contributions from mystery A- / B+ pop-celebrity fanatics of outsider music and ultra-rare bakelite discs. Finders Keepers is an 'accidental world music label' with a punk aesthetic and DJ friendly ethos which allows the desperate listener to sit back while we deliver schizoid cultural channel-hopping compilations and rocking-horse-shit & hen's-teeth re-releases to the comfort of your psych-starved living room...
