Following to their successful collaboration ‘Ruined My Life’ on NCS in early 2021, EBEN & Shiah Maisel continue where they left off by joining forces for yet another high quality piece of music. Their newest record together, titled as ’Put Them Down’, is a fascinating mix of heavy-hitting trap & bass drops paired up with incredibly emotional, yet energetic vocals & songwriting. What really makes the biggest difference in the track, is how well the instrumental and vocals compliment each other. During the calmer sections, Shiah completely steals the spotlight with his profound childhood story about his father’s addiction, but as the track progresses towards the drops, not only Shiah’s vocals, but the entire production gradually picks up more steam, before unleashing the aggressive bass-infused drops.

Quote of the song: “The song is very personal to Shiah, who talks about his father’s addiction which occurred throughout his entire childhood. Shiah writes about specific feelings/emotions and stories that have really occurred at one point or another in his life. Screaming “Put Them Down”, Shiah begs his father to become sober and to stop smoking cigarettes.”

Continuing: “Some lines in the song like: “I’d fall asleep to it, I’ve got some trauma but don’t really like to speak of it”, really hit home for him, and takes the song to an even more real and vulnerable place. Hoping to see his dad get better, which Shiah believes he can, and even says so in the second verse. EBEN’S powerful production is the perfect fit for Shiah’s emotional melodies to ride on top of!”
