We’ve taken a bit of a turn on our monthly Noods show, playing more stuff from yonder lands, not just the home shores. Rest assured though, we’ll keep putting a spotlight on the great local music coming out. First hour from us this month we’re pretty big on, jam-packed with some tracks we’ve really been into over the last month, the second hour is from our lovely new mate, Oren. On point, as usual.

Ahead of our party with her at the end of the month we have a very special podcast from none other than the mercurial D. Tiffany. 

We're stoked to be hosting this mix from the Montreal based artist, as she seamlessly takes us through a percussive trip spanning downtempo joints, deep rolling breaks, techy wiggles and tranced out techno cuts. It's a colourful sound palette that reflects both Sophie's strengths as a producer, DJ and label head, with her influences spanning a broad range of sonic textures.

Test subject 1.3 draws upon the “apocalyptic” nature of this image while combining it with “deep, darker space” to create a hauntingly beautiful dystopian narrative. Traverse the ominous landscape that one-half of the brains behind the revered Slow Burn (@slowburncast) parties has concocted for your listening pleasure. 

“Imagery definitely plays a role in how I come into contact with music. Whether that be finding a record with a visually satisfying cover, seeing a painting or photograph and translating that into sounds that best reflect the feelings being evoked. It felt like an apocalyptic wasteland... and some other dark, deeper space. This kind of pushed me to try and think about what kind of music would convey how I would feel being placed there.” Liucy on the relationship between sound and imagery for his Manifestation mix.
