First and foremost 'd like to do a shout out to Brent "Brentalfoss" Black for his amazing album - "What if this CD Had Lyrics?".

With the release of Ducktales Remastered, I wanted to a little something. I remembered years ago that I'd always listen to Brent's lyrical interpretations, and wake up everyday looking forward to see what folk such as AVGN, Angry Joe, CGR, and Blunty were all up to, to name a few.

Times have changed a lot since, many of these icons of YouTube are still around to this day, but many have also changed things up to fit with modern audiences, or left their forte in pursuit of other things in life.

So while this may just be a small cover, I'd like this to be an ode to all the great moments these people have helped create for me, and everyone else out there.

First off - yep, the tempo is quite significantly different!

This is completely intentional, when I was learning this by ear, I felt there was more "flow" to the music when slowed down and with more rubato.

Apologies for the couple mistakes, battery was about to die on me!

Irisu Syndrome OST "I Thought It Seemed Childish" (Piano Cover)

Tried to record this with the video, but I just can't put the emotion into my playing that well when on camera. So again I'm relying on just the audio for the mean time.

The main part of the improvisation comes at about 2:04.  It's slightly sloppy. Imagine that, over five years later, and I still get nervous and on edge when I record, haha.

In any case, please do enjoy, I have a bit of an actual attachment to Dear You, both in a music sense, and that it played a vital part for me in life back in 2010, as such it's been a long-time cherished song of mine, and I'm just happy to share yet another upload with you guys.

Surpriiiiiiiiiiiiise.... I'm aliiiiiiiiiiive!!
Long overdue, but managed to get something. Lots have been happening in my life as of late. A lot of good things, as a lot of other things that life will throw at you inevitably.

Natsukage has been a song I've wanted to cover for a long time. It's from KEY, and their works have always amazed me. After having played through 95% of Rewrite last year, I still feel as strongly.

In fact, I wanted to do some Rewrite piano covers too, but arranging them is a lot harder than I initially anticipated, so I chose to just listen in awe.

Anyway, I might upload more soon ~ I'll just see how this goes, and see how I feel. But I hope you enjoy my cover despite the couple of mistakes, and if you haven't already, definitely watch AIR.

Madoka Movie 3 Rebellion OST ~ The Battle Is Over (Piano & Cello Collab w/Quellatalo Nin)

Not played something for a looooong time, or rather, shared.

So here's a thing~ I've been playing Kantai Collection, a web browser game which has both fascinated, and infuriated me. The BGM I'm playing translated to "Marine Escort Warfare".

Kancolle really amazes me with all its orchestral, large and full of life compositions, so it's hard to replicate something that grand on just a piano with limited ability, but I do hope you can enjoy the music.

【艦これBGM】「海上護衛戦 -」 【ピアノアレンジ】

This morning I decided to fire up FL Studio for the first time in a long while, and thought to just record something in MIDI using the Harmor plugin. This uses the Rhodes preset with some added reverb, the resulting sound being that of an E.Piano.

Please do enjoy, I think that Harmor is a really interesting plugin, and I might try learn more about it and provide more interesting things in future!

There may or may not be some nods to my prior stuff, feel free to ponder that :)

June 2016 - "Piano" solo

Remember when the charge on your phone lasted over a week?
How about when you could drop your phone, and it wouldn't sustain injury?

What was one a proud, fortified belief, soon turned into what felt more like devolution, You could say that the evolution of phones can symbolize the evolution of humanity. We gain more knowledge, but remain fragi-..... ERM.... Hahahaha, I can't take this statement seriously anymore.

Originally I was trying to piss the fiancée off with playing the "Nokia" theme, but it turned into something fairly neat that I was really happy with the result of and decided to upload - enjoy ~


OH and this is recorded the same way as my old stuff with a new cable for the external sound card so there might be a slight change in audio.

Voyage 3310 - Piano solo

So I decided to hunt out my old sound card and record something proper.

As of late.... I can't stick to an arrange, or stick to the rules, or anything for that matter. So this is mostly me throwing things at a wall and seeing what parts stick.

- Broken Moon (Touhou)
- Dear You (Higurashi)

Some parts are cool some are iffy but overall, meh, I did something!

How does my playing hold up after these few years of absence?

In the meantime, I'm hyped to become a father to my first child/daughter next month. With my wife being on maternity leave, I'm curious to see if it gives me more opportunities like this as we have both been wishing to aspire to do more and more, though pregnancy is unfortunately a natural inhibitor :)

So, I want to upload YouTube videos again, in fact, I was testing it out, I have a camera position I'm happy with, and I want to go for it, but well, three years later, I am using the same hardware and software to record, but this is just.... jarring on the ears.

A huge step down in quality.... I'm hoping it's just settings in audacity related, not anything else.

I have yet to assess what the issue is, but I wanted to address this, just on the off chance I might have to face upgrading my setup, or replacing my external sound card.

This was recorded raw with no alterations to the VST, the only editing I done was compressing the audio.

Testing a Piano VST

Because thinking when you are hungry, angry, sad or of a luscious  mind set might not provide rational thinking.

Inspired by one of Koh's recent share of  an improvisation on Faith is for the Transient People called "A Place to Stay" arranged by SHI, I really liked the idea of a slow version of Sanae's theme. This improvisation mainly focuses on the verse. 

I could have developed this further, in fact some runs had me playing a bit into Byakuren's theme. Though I'm surprised I managed to stretch 4 minutes with almost just one verse.

Regardless, Kanako-sana please forgive the sins of my ever prudent mistakes. Otherwise my improvements may not be so dramatic ;D
