01 In Time

Andy Sheppard has christened his latest project Find The Others. It’s an intriguing blend of acoustic songwriting, layered soundscapes, mysterious lyrics, and mesmerizing visuals. 

Dave Curtis of DirectCurrentMusic.com calls it “a potent, quietly mind-blowing cocktail as stately chords chime off the frets, hang in the air surrounded by looped samples and voices from old movies then drift off before being joined by Sheppard's own distinctive, intimate vocal melodies.” 

The latest, self-titled album was co-produced with Snowblink's Dan Goldman and features collaborations with Olivier Alary (Bjork), Snowblink, Jorn Anderson (Peter Gabriel), Mark Mariash (Ron Sexsmith) and others. 

Find The Others has since been adapted by Sheppard into a touring multi-media experience with live performances and synchronized video visuals. 

Songs from Find The Others have been featured as theme and background music in the viral YouTube video sensation, Sh*t Girls Say (35+ million views), as well as short films for the Tony Hawk Ride Channel, and in advertisements for companies such as Whistler Blackcomb and Indigo Books. 

The album has received substantial airplay in Canada on CBC Radio 2 programs such as Radio 2 Morning, Drive, Shift, and The Signal, as well as CBC Radio 3 and college stations across the country. It has also been heard across the US on NPR. 

The project was launched with a successful cross-Canada tour in November of 2011. A new EP and video, recorded in Iceland with producer Valgeir Sigurdsson (Bjork), is set for release in 2013.
