Following the brilliant album 'A Trip To Idyllwild', from electronic music producer and saxophonist, ITAI, on Camel Riders, We are thrilled to present the remix album.
On his debut album on our imprint, ITAI displayed eight tracks of hypnotizing jazzy electronic beats, Saxophone, and other live instruments, full of intriguing and mysterious melodies. On this occasion, we are thrilled to provide new reworked versions of the album's tracks by some of our favourite artists and promising talents in the electronic landscape: PheuZen, Just Emma and Urem, Zuma Dionys, Matija and RIchard Elcox, Max Tenrom, Dandara, Alvaro Suarez, Catori and Noraj Cue.

This musical tale consists of nine fascinating interpretations that some might say is more dance-floor oriented, ranging from Downtempo, and Electronica to upbeat Melodic Deep House and Techno. We hope you enjoy the re-diving to this ride, this trip, A Trip to Idyllwild.

In between all the elements Science has already charted and discovered, there are still many we have not yet identified. Nature, and the universe for that matter, still hides many concepts that we have not yet visited or studied, and there exist combinations of those concepts and elements that we haven’t yet explored. In a sense, this work is an ode to that unknown, a fusion of elements from different time periods and places, but that live chemically bound by musical space and time because of the foundations they share, and when put together, create uncharted elements.

 the power of collaboration is on full display in this superb set of songs by Portuguese artists Pedro Martins and Tempura the Purple Boy. Each track holds a unique space which then swerves and unfolds in so many surprising and pleasing ways. Calling on influences and reveries of many tastes and times, from dark and gritty downtempo to early 90’s atmospheric jungle. One can sense the symbiosis that was present in the studio. Pedro’s experience as a producer, studio engineer, DJ and manager of Karakter Records and Tempura’s musical and compositional background was a strong and organic mesh, with Tempura laying down grooves and melodies and Pedro building on aesthetics and overall sound. 

In the end, every new piece of art is laid on top of a foundation of influences. Yet this record shines unique, in it’s masterful fusion of those origins. 

Re-envisioned by 3 artists of massive talent and promise, the remixes fully live up to the quality found in the originals. All of these artists making their debuts on Random Collective. Nada with his dark, atmospheric and extremely compelling remix of Hall of Mirrors. Daniel Hokum concocted a bouncy cut of the same original that is both stripped down and twisted up. Finally, Katabtu caps the EP with an incredibly dreamy and sway inducing rendition of Seismic Activity which he clearly put his soul into, along with a riveting vocal part.

We are happy to present you our latest Afterhour Sounds compilation. After almost a year it was about time to publish a new, in-house release. Our goal with each compilation is to share our understanding of an afterhour with you.

An afterhour has always been something special. An episode of rest and yet also of departure. Always individually different and yet somehow categorically the same. This is exactly the spirit we try to musically depict with each of our compilations.
Finally, this time we have also included exciting downtempo, midtempo and uptempo tracks. Each track is completely different in terms of mood and energy, but due to their atmosphere and playfulness, they fit perfectly into every (afterhour) playlist. Surely there is something for each of you.

Students and party-people should stick to their own kind. Often, you cant choose your neighbors. Therefore, agreements should be made and such agreements should be honored. Most of the time, there is an acceptable solution for all parties involved. This way, neighborly relations may even become a pleasant affair. Augensteins EP contains two original tracks. The title track exudes a dark disco vibe, driven by expressive basslines and a pitch-shifted vocal. In less than five minutes Augenstein delivers a full and powerful auditory experience. "Midnight Pathfinder" serves as the logical B-side of this EP. The energy remains high, with a mix of bass shots and a playful lead underpinned by percussion. With this sound, the neighbours will either want to join in or leave quickly.

It took this experience, working in music production with our Fine Beatz artists and five years before the „Fine Beatz EP" was released in 2006. During this five years, the Fine Beatz brand was becoming more and more popular due to the exposure from putting on various events with new kinds of sounds, as well as the first radio broadcast (2003). Fine Beatz has always made quality a main priority, so after 5 hectic years of finetuning our skills, in 2006 the music label was born and ready to say hello to the worldwide music market.
