Once again, dear listeners we venture back into the Samosa Funk kitchens, airing exclusively on New York's  myhouseradio.fm with Michelin Star Producer / DJ duo De Gama and Les Inferno cooking up the Funk Sliders and Confit of Groove - served with a bottle of vintage Italian Spinasanta. 

De Gama was preparing and serving delicious antipasti and primo dishes from Firefly, Soulphication, Bah Samba, Moodena, Louie Vega and Lex & Locke amongst other tasty bits to tantalise your taste buds and aural receivers. 

Then for ‘the secondi’, Les Inferno has something for all dietary requirements and palates. Specials tonight include ‘Hubert Laws’ Linguine, Tavares Dolcelatte Pizza (with or without walnuts), Chaka Khan Skewers with Gremolata or LTJ Exchange Lamb Stew. Take your pick!

In less than 3 years, Wahine (wah-hee-neh) has risen from total obscurity into a rising star in the disco scene. Winning the Defected Croatia Mix Contest in 2019 and making her international debut at the boutique festival put her on the radar of key tastemakers in the disco and house scene, despite a 10-year hiatus from DJing. 

Wahine co-hosts Spin City on the World’s #1 House Radio Station, MyHouseRadio.fm, in addition to contributing guest mixes to many important shows and radio stations in the genre, including Mi-House, NDC Radio, SWU.fm, Disco Deviance and DiscoDaze. She also writes a guest column for top-ranked house music blog, LeVisiteur.com, and kicked off an interview show for Only Good Vibes in 2021 focused on US-based talent. 

Wahine’s sound can be described as “Disco in Paradise”—sundrenched and full of tropical influences, matching her Hawaiian moniker. Funky licks are spiced with percussive jams with both equal parts brains and brawn. 

This year she began her foray into music production and her early mashups are already receiving support from radio shows from The Black Light Disco to OpenTempo FM.

She joined the Deck-O-Dance DJ Agency and kicked off her first European tour in November 2021 with dates in the UK, Germany, and Ireland. Most recently, she rebooted her tropical-flavored disco event, Wahine’s Hideaway with Scottish disco don, Dicky Trisco in May of this year.
