Hot To The Touch 070122 With Discoholic Ken & DJ Hasse on Prime Radio

Samosa Funk smashed into the atmosphere to permeate the  myhouseradio.fm airwaves las Monday with a show that’s as packed from start to finish as a late night kebab! 

This is Vol. 21 of their ongoing residency and corporate team up with Black Light Disco, and we can honestly say that these guys just get better and better and better with each show. 

In lane one, we have Les Inferno taking us on a light recon around the course, starting with one of his own forthcoming tracks ‘Ketama’ (oh you’re so gonna like it!)

After the flag falls, De Gama takes over for the second hour with panache and style, with tracks from Hotmood, Art of Tones, Lupino and Miguel Migs to name but a few. It’s an absolute sizzler!!!

Samosa Funk Vol 21 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

I was back on hosting duties for The Disco Waltons Sunday Service on NDC once again in January 2022, and I was excited to welcome Collective Groove as my guests. I had an absolute blast recording my mix, which was a journey through quirky, squidgy funk, into some worldly beats, picking up the pace into some crisp jackin' house and then, because it's Sunday Service, we go to church for the last 10 minutes. Can I get an Amen?!

My special guest in hour 2, Pete from @thecollectivegroove, absolutely brought the house down with his incredible guest mix, crammed full of joyous disco tunes. Highly recommend checking it out and giving Collective Groove a follow if you don't already - their radio show is well worth a listen.

Taking the class for the first period is Professor Les Inferno, who has a genuine smorgasbord of classics from the likes of Joe Thomas, Pattie LaBelle, Miles Davis, Change and Babe Ruth to name but a few. The selection, the execution - all conducted with supreme skill and confidence! It's another masters degree in musicology! 

For the second hour, De Gama raises the temperature with another sizzling set packed to the corners with quality music from Dominic Balchin, Jazzanova, Cafe 432, DirtyTwo, Lup Ino plus many more. De Gama's sets always burst with diversity and this set will absolutely blow your collective socks off!

I perform four live sets every month on Mixcloud, Twitch, Kick and Tango. I also do guest slots on radio and web if you approach me. 

On Wednesdays, I host Wiggle Wednesday, where I play Jacking House.

Thursdays are dedicated to Thursday Therapy, where I play a variety of House music, ranging from Drum and Bass to Deep House and Chill.

Fridays are for Filthy Friday, a request show where I play tunes sent to me by producers. I play all sorts of music, including new releases.

Sundays are all about Sunday Confessions, where I play Deep House, Melodic House, and Progressive House.

I do occasionally change the theme of my sets to keep things fresh.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to all the DJs and producers who upload their music on Soundcloud for free downloads. Many people overlook Soundcloud as a platform for discovering up-and-coming talented DJs who dedicate their time to create edits for people to enjoy. This page is not only a platform for sharing music but also a space that supports and promotes talents, giving them the love and recognition they deserve. Music has always been a means of expression and communication, and it should always remain that way. Every true music lover starts their journey on Soundcloud, and even though there are numerous platforms to download music these days, sharing and reposting music for free keeps the spirit of music alive, in my opinion. I live my life by the saying "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes," so I encourage you to repost music you discover because you never know, that one song might inspire the next generation to keep the music we love alive.

Music is truly understood when you feel it. I spent the late 80’s and early 90s dancing all over Europe, experiencing the vibrant acid house, techno clubs, house, and trance scenes. From the iconic Love Parade in Berlin to the early raves in the UK, I have traveled extensively and have had the privilege of meeting many legends throughout the years. My passion for life has been earned, and only those with a rich soul and kindness are welcome to join me on this journey.

Some people simply listen to music, but for me, it is a deep love. Music is life in my world, and there is no better place to experience it than on a dance floor without a care in the world. Those who understand this feeling and space are always welcome to connect with me. If you are the type of person who starts dancing as soon as you put on your headphones, then you are my kindred spirit. There is nothing quite like that moment in music when a tune transports you back to a specific place and time.

I do my best to research music and save it on my likes page. So if you are looking for a particular tune or a banger, start there. I can guarantee you will find something you love. I also support DJs because they are the artisans who bring us joy through their craft. If DJs send me new tunes, I always make sure to listen to everything they send. I am not an influencer or one of those bots that seem to be everywhere these days. If I genuinely like what you produce, I will give it a like, repost, and save it for others to discover.
