Edoardo Barbi or GLEDD is an Italian DJ, producer, and label head whose music fuses disco, funk, soul, afro and latin grooves into warm, organic house. Raised in Cork, Ireland - London based producer Tree Threes has been steadily making a name for himself. Since his first release on French producer Phil Weeks’ ‘OG House Vol.1’ compilation, he’s gone on to win Beatport’s Producer Challenge, and have a string of EP releases with Morris Audio, Kolour, Funky Music Records, Scruniversal Records, Miura Records, the legendary Nervous Records and of course, House Salad Music. With deep beats transcending house, disco and broken beat, Tree Threes has had co-signs from the likes of Mark Farina, Fish Go Deep and Osunlade.
He makes his debut on the vinyl world with his release Decisions EP on @specialgrooves and this month his brand new release on 12", Love You Forever EP on @soulquestrecords,
flexing once again his production skills which were honed at Secret Sundaze school, combining disco, jazz and soul influences all under the Deep House umbrella.

"Dance (Disco Heat)" is the title of a 1978 single by American disco singer Sylvester James, who performed using just his first name, Sylvester. The song became Sylvester's first Top 40 hit in the US, where it peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the fall of 1978 it also reached #29 on the UK Singles Chart. The song appears on his 1978 album, Step II.
A 12" single was released in 1978, with "Dance (Disco Heat)" as the A-side and "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" as the B-side, and these two extended dance mixes proved to be very popular in the dance clubs at the time. The two songs held down the top spot on the Billboard Dance/Disco chart for six weeks in August and September of that year  and helped to establish Sylvester's career as a noted disco and dance music performer, both in the U.S. and abroad.

After almost a years hiatus simple returns with it's first EP of 2013 from Leeds starlet Youandewan. Ewan Smith has been making a name for himself with his deep, dozy and ever so slightly melancholy take on house. He's already slated remixes for Maya Jane Coles, Midland, Dusky & the elusive Gerry Read as well as original eps for Hype LTD, secretsundaze he now makes his simple debut with his 'What's the Deal?' ep.

Youandewan's 'What's the Deal?' EP highlights Ewan's attention to detail whether that be with melodic flourishes on title track 'What's The Deal' or whether it's a more patient groovier number like 'Just Words' which adopts the less is more approach, focusing on a classy bassline, a few drawn out synth chords and sweet vocal snippets. 'You Don't Know' combines Ewan's trademark vocal snippets once again but this time with Mike Huckaby esque synth licks, this is probably the deepest jam on the ep and Ewan's not afraid to take a nod to those from the D(etorit). 'You Tired' rounds off the ep, and illustrates Ewan's deft touch by combining a heavy, groovy bassline and lush, subtle piano flourishes.

Youandewan is only getting going and this EP perfectly showcases his sound. With gigs this summer at Hideout, Unknown and Echo festivals, Trouble Vision as well as several appearances at our very own Aus and simple parties we think 2013 is going to be a fine year for Ewan.
