This is a little recording from a sort of spontaneous ukulele jam session that happened one summers evening. It's an ode to all the hipsters out there, and to some disappointing over-priced ginger ale. Maybe I'll turn this into a 'proper' song one day - I might even add a verse or two...

I wrote this song about my parent's cat, Tiger - but more popularly known as Neighbour Cat.

Neighbour Cat once lived with my parent's neighbours, about a dozen houses up at the top of their rough hedge-lined country road.  One summer's day, he walked right into my parent's house, like he owned the place. He started as an occasional visitor, then a frequent one. Eventually, my parents realised he was spending most of his time in and around their house. It was a year before before my parents accepted they had acquired a cat housemate and started to feed him.

Neighbour Cat made a choice to move home, and I respect that. I'm glad that he had the freedom to do so - few pets do.

A little while ago I decided to start learning the ukulele... it's small and I'm small, so we seemed like a good pairing. I hope to make up with enthusiasm for what I lack in skill. Happy listening!
