Free Shelter invites the Korea based, director by day/DJ by night, @airtothebear for the 23rd installment of their guest mix series on IDA Radio.

With guest mixes on, sheeesh... most of the critically acclaimed radio stations around the world as well as gigs at infamous spots like Pistil and(the now closed)Contra, it's safe to say that getting the Korean-American Airbear to jump on our show feels like a huge honor. 

When listening to Aarons (aka Airbear, in case you missed that one)mixes it becomes apparent in a short time the skill he has honed over the years. Mixing seamlessly through genres like he would transition from one scene to another in a movie. It all just... floats? 

Anyways, for this mix he has chosen a more clubbier sound, something that might seem leftfield for some of his followers. But hey, we're not complaining. This is what we want, and you do as well. You probably just didn't know it yet.

Q1. How and where was the mix recorded?  
The mix was recorded in my studio in Hong Kong, on 2x cdj 850s, 1x Technics 1200 and my back up Technics SH-DJ1200 mixer (my main Allen & Heath Xone broke down at the last minute)! Also, the eqs and cross fader on the Technics crackle (from too much scratching and twisitng knobs) so I could only use the line faders. Its good to have a challenge sometimes!

香港にある僕のスタジオで2 台のCDJ 850、1台のTechnics 1200 とバックアップに用意していたTechnics SH-DJ1200を使ってレコーディングしたよ(いつもメインで使うAllen & Heath Xoneが直前に壊れてしまって)！しかもTechnicsのイコライザーとクロスフェーダーにガリが出て(スクラッチとノブの回しすぎで)、チャンネルフェーダーしか使えなかったんだ。たまにはトラブルもいいよね、なんて。
