been so busy working on other projects that i accidentally set myself a new challenge this year

thanks to a deeply unhealthy series of all nighters, the 6th edition of my annual production mix is a collection of tracks and sketches i put together in the last week. exported my last track for the mix two hours ago, recorded straight after and just had a lil sleep deprived cry as the last tune played out 😭

sorry for any rough edges on the tracks or blends, it was a race against the clock! but from the heart, i hope you enjoy :)

Anz - Spring/Summer Dubs 2021

Here is my mix for Bicep's FMB Mixtape series. The whole thing takes place within a range of 130 – 140 BPM and is dancefloor focused. I wanted to keep it cohesive and go energetic/heavier in parts. Plenty of unreleased tunes from me and my friends, and also lots of bassy four-to-the-floor bits that I’m playing atm alongside some older music and a tinge of techno stuff. 3024:   Please describe the mix in a single sentence ? 

BRC :  "I’d say the mix was like water, a natural flow that we usually lock into when we’re DJing together."


3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

BRC: "For inspirations, I’d say a lot of the greats who came before us that we’ve had the opportunity to perform with. Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, etc. We haven’t had the opportunity to perform with him yet but Goldie is also an inspiration. These are folks that paved their own way ya know."



3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming? 

BRC: "BRC 3 is in the works and is slated for release next year. We also have individual projects slated for release next year also."
