2 - Trouble in paradise (S1, EP2)

The first Bible story sets up all that is to come. If you miss the set-ups, then you'll miss the pay-offs. Once you start to spot motives and character types, then you can look for pay-offs made through-out the Bible books. You can start to see how the entire story fits together, telling the the world's history over a 7000 year time frame. And you can begin to see where you and I are in the story today, as world history steps into the Bible's final prophetic unfolding chapters.

1 - In the beginning (S1, EP1)

God's warning goes unheeded and now the chance for a fresh start lies in a boat full of animals curated by 8 people floating alone above the surface of the earth.

7 - A new beginning (S1, EP7)

10 generations from Adam and Eve we meet Noah. His grandfather Enoch has been warning people that God is going to send punishment on the earth. The clock is ticking as Enoch has prophesied that when his son dies, God's plan will take place.

6 - A righteous man (S1, EP6)

Only a few generations from Adam and Eve and people are showing their defiance of God. Now some ally with supernatural beings to create a super hybrid race who are even more wicked.

5 - Alliances and allegiances (S1, EP5)

God has said that to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil would bring death. Now to prevent living beings eating from the the tree of life, He has to separate them from His presence and exile them from the paradise garden. What will people do now?

4 - Endings and beginnings (S1, EP4)

The story picks up 20 generations from Adam, with a man called Abram. Does this 75 year old childless man, hold the hope for the future?

9 - A new man (S2, EP2)

Abram and his wife Sarai are old an childless. They have left their homeland for the promise of a land of their own and that through there descendants all people on earth will be blessed. But there is one glaring problem, they are childless.

10 - Sons of God and sons of men (S2, EP3)

After trying to take things into their own hands, the elderly couple have a child by surrogacy, but God says that his promise of a child will come through Sarah, who is now past child bearing. A promise that seems laughable.  Will it be fulfilled?

11 - The first miraculous birth in the Bible (S2, EP4)

After God's dual with Pharaoh and the Egyptian courts, the Hebrew people escape under cover of darkness with God leading them in a pillar of flame. With freedom in sight, will the people thank and trust God for their future or look back to the stability of the life they knew as slaves?

21 - Crossing over (S3, EP3)

The annual calendar is now reset and God says that the first day of the year will be the day the anniversary of the people's escape from slavery. Will all these structures and systems be enough to convince the people that God is good and that His plans and promises will come to pass?

24  - Priests and feasts (S3, EP6)

After crossing over the River Jordan into the land that God has promied the people renew their promises to God in word and deed. Now under the leadership of Moses' protege Joshua, who had scouted the land 40 years earlier, they celebrate Passover, remembering their miraculous escape from slavery.

28 - Shout from the mountains (S4, EP2)

God's tabernacle, His special tent of dwelling is with the people in Canaan at Shiloh. They consult God on His plans and also choose military leaders to help them. But they soon compromise God's plans and leave idol worship active and let local people pay them tribute money to continue their life styles in defiance of God's teachings. As the people reject God's ways they have problems and are invaded by warlords.

29 - Military leaders rise and fall (S4, EP3)

Israel's first King Saul has all the physical attributes the people admire he is good looking and in the prime of life. But, he is flawed and fears man above his respect and reverence for God. In fear Saul makes a sacrifice that only God's priest should make and so his days as king are numbered and Samuel is tasked with finding the next king.

36 - A king in waiting (S5, EP2)

Life as a king takes its toll and David has many wives and many children. He doesn't address family problems and a very dark season develops in his life and the life of the country.

38 - Treachery and conspiracy (S5, EP4)

While the nation of Israel stands at the cross roads of trade and travel other nations seek to take control. In the North Syria is a powerful force and God sends his prophets to speak with its leaders. Now one of Syria's officials needs a miracle and he seeks God's prophet for help.

48 - A letter from Syria (S6, EP6)

With Judah in the South and Israel in the North dynasties rise and fall. The house of Judah follows one blood line, while in the North dynasties fall though treason and murder.

51 - Israel's dynasties rise and fall (S6, EP9)

Jesus disciples are in shock. In less than 24 hours their world has been turned upside down. Jesus is death and their hopes and dreams with him. But, as his friends go to his tomb, three days after his burial, they are met by an amazing sight.

90  - Jesus' resurrection (S11, EP1)

The disciples teaching of good news is not good news to the corrupt religious authorities. And some of Jesus' disciples have to learn that the message is for all people. That God is fulfilling his promise to bless all people through the blood line of Abraham. Through Jesus, who is 100% man - a descendant of Abraham - 100% God - conceived by a virgin through the Holy Spirit - and 100% perfect, has always existed, but chose to live and die as a man to identify completely with his creation by identifying with humanities' sin and thus pay its price, death.

94 - Good news is for everyone (S11, EP5)

More people from different cultures start to hear God's good news story and believe. The story, the message and the Holy Spirit is spreading.

95 - Non Jewish believers (S11, EP6)

Paul starts to travel widely around the Mediterranean visiting Jewish synagogues and teaching the fulfilment of Moses teachings as well as teaching with intellectuals and everyday folk.

97 - Travels and letters (S11, EP8)

The corrupt religious authorities want to kill Paul, but because he has a dual citizenship, he applies his status as a Roman to get Roman military protection. Now, for his safety, he is kept under arrest in a Roman prison in Israel.

99 - Paul on trial (S11, EP10)

Paul has demanded a trial under the Romans, so now he is transported to Italy. The journey is dramatic and Paul's advice to his captors saves their lives.

100 - Destination Rome (S11, EP11)

Paul arrives in Rome and is kept under house arrest. During this time he corresponds by letter with many of the people he has during his freedom as a believer in Jesus. He also receives visits from others and even gets to meet the local Hebrew community in Rome to explain how Jesus' life, death and resurrection, fulfils the teaching of Moses.

101 - Fulfilment of God's plan (S11, EP12)

Jesus' disciples continue to teach his message of salvation and God's plan for the world and more and more their message is met by persecution and sometimes death. Now an aged John is imprisoned, yet has a series of visions, which he is able to write down.

102 - A vision and 7 letters part 1 (S12, EP1)

In John's vivid vision he is given details of 7 groups of believers, collectively called churches, in the region of modern day Turkey. Each church is faced with issues that hinder their full worship and obedience of God.

103 - A vision and 7 letters part 2 (S12, EP2)

As John watches the end of times play out, God appoints two witnesses, prophets to go to Jerusalem. In Hebrew law, the teaching of Moses, two witnesses are always needed to agree and affirm action.

106 - Two witnesses (S12, EP5)

Now the opposer, the enemy of God and man, sets two beasts on the world stage. The battle for an eternal inheritance rages naturally and spiritually and the whole earth is affected.

107 - Two beasts (S12, EP6)

This last Bible book is a book of prophecy, which can only be truly understood and revealed by God's spirit and at the time he chooses. But John sees war in both spiritual and natural realms as seven plagues are released on the world.

108 - The last seven plagues (S12, EP7)

Now John sees that the earthly superpowers, which have established themselves in place of God, begin to fall.

109 - The fall of earthly powers (S12, EP8)

John is overwhelmed by the heavenly courts. He does his best to describe what he sees. He sees the completion of God's promises to Abraham as 24 elders surround God's throne, those from Israel's 12 tribes and Jesus' 12 disciples.

111 - Heavenly courts (S12, EP10)

Now is the time for the fulfilment of Jesus' prayer 'on earth as it is in heaven'. And the Bible story comes full circle with a new beginning as the story steps into God's unfolding plan for eternity with a heavenly city, at its centre the tree of life, with leaves for the healing of the nations.

112 - On earth as it is in heaven (S12, EP11)

Jesus is in the royal blood line of King David, both by his mother Mary and his adopted father Joseph. But he is not the political and military ruler that people have imagined, yet he is astonishing people with his wisdom and his supernatural power to heal and deliver people.

81 - Jesus takes the stage (S10, EP4)

We've now travelled though around 1700 years since the beginning of the story. In season 2 we follow Noah's family forward as people begin to populate the earth.

Full Circle takes you through the Bible's unfolding and ongoing story from creation to eternity in 112 bite-sized episodes. Written and produced by artist Fiona Julian, these podcasts bring together years of learning and a love for the Bible story, its context, composition and creativity. 

Fiona has a Master's Degree in writing for the media, focusing on the art of the drama series.
