Night In My Dreams

My best friend Paul Hankinson wrote this song. We met when we were both studying classical music in Brisbane Australia, me classical voice and he piano, and we started working together geeking out about art song and lieder and chamber music and just life in general. Years later he moved to Berlin, and I followed him there. These days he's my nextdoor neighbour and without doubt one of the most brilliant, freakish, other-worldly musicians I know, and this song is one of those times where I just have no idea how the hell he does it. 

Sometimes people complain they can't hear my voice through all the electronic production, so here is a song where it's just voice and piano - except in true Paul Hankinson style there is 4 separate piano parts intertwined together.

Robot Koch & I met in Berlin 8 years ago at this songwriters camp held in a legendary old GDR studio in Berlin. Since then we've seen each other through so many phases of life, the downs as well as the ups. This is a song about friendship and time. It's one of my favourite things in life to be able to create things with people I love and respect. I hope you like this one.

"Let it go by" is a song sung to a friend during their hardest days. Featuring the signature dreamy electronic production of Robot Koch with the gentlest vocal from Fiora. A calm place in the storm.
