Serge Devant returns to Crosstown Rebels with his mesmerising new single ‘A Little Bit Of Love’, complete with a remix from Art Department & MDL Child.

Thanks to his fresh house sound, New York resident Serge Devant has turned the heads of tastemakers like Jamie Jones and Damian Lazarus for several years. A regular on Crosstown Rebels dating back to his label debut in 2015, dropping a string of EPs on the label since, he arrives in fine form once again as he unveils his latest single.

His brilliant ‘A Little Bit Of Love’ is an inventive rhythm that soon sweeps you up with its wavy beats and slick hits. Gorgeous chords are draped over it next to steamy vocals to ensure a truly emotive dance floor trip, while the dub version strips out the lead vocal to lay the focus on the remaining musical elements.

The remix comes from Jonny White, aka pioneering underground artist and No. 19 Music boss Art Department, and fellow Canadian talent MDL Child. They flip the production into seven minutes of emotionally intense house music with muted acid lines undulating throughout the mix, while immense percussive energy and lush cosmic keys make for a fulsome dancefloor rush.

Sublease Music presents new heat from the evergreen Steve Kelley with his Last Time EP.  

With almost 20 years in the game, Steve has been a part of some of the largest and most respected brands in dance music, repping his signature groovy, chunky house vibes. 

Title track Last Time, is a rolling, slinky groover with deep chords that add a thoughtful dimension to the track. 

Life is cut from similar cloth, with a hypnotic vibe, tasty synth washes and choice vocal samples. 

Completing the EP is a Pornbugs remix of Last Time, which opts to beef up the bass and foreground the funk - the perfect accompaniment for the original.

Kotelett, one half of Kotelett & Zadak, the idiosyncratic house duo who have clocked up releases on respected imprints including Katermukke, Selador and Natura Viva recently returned to Poker Flat Recordings with his solo single I Don’t Know earlier this year.

Now he returns with a spectacular remix from Swiss producer Dario D’Attis. The rework adds a new flavour to the deep, rolling nature of the original, adding a more jacking vibe and pushing the vocal more to the fore.

Markus Homm, the veteran Romanian DJ and producer who now lives in Nürnberg, drops a 3 tracker on the ever dependable Sublease Music.

Cubicle is the perfect summation of Homm’s aesthetic - tight rhythms, heightened tension and precise sound design combining to make the perfect dance floor weapon.

The title track Cubicle builds and builds over its 7 minutes, and drum rolls transition the track into new spaces.
