Rarely does an artist pay homage to the classics quite like Dimitri From Paris, whose illustrious repertoire of original productions and remixes effortlessly capture the essence of the disco greats. After releasing his acclaimed collection of CHIC remixes on Glitterbox Recordings in 2019, Dimitri now partners with NYC singer-songwriter Fiorious, an artist who represents the dawning of a new era in dance music talent, to release ‘Music Saved My Life’ on the label. With Fiorious’ previous Glitterbox releases including powerful call-to-resistance anthem ‘I’m Not Defeated’ and re-work of Aly-Us’ 90s classic ‘Follow Me’, his impassioned vocal paired with Dimitri’s meticulous production make for a perfect match. A celebration of music’s ability to provide sanctuary and liberate, ‘Music Saved My Life’ encapsulates the ethos of the disco golden era and its modern-day equivalent, Glitterbox. From the opening piano notes, it’s clear that “2 B Free” is a soul purifying disco jam that would have felt right at home on Larry Levan’s turntables 40 years ago. It feels familiar, but is still strikingly fresh. Saturday Love is a new project uniting the Boston veteran DJ and producer Kon(behind The Vision's instant classic "Heaven")with rising NYC vocalist Fiorious("I'm Not Defeated" / "Music Saved My Life"), whose soaring falsetto carries this song to new heights. The hair on your back will reach those same heights too, so keep hands firmly on your hips and let the percussion guide you to freedom.

“Feel So High” is the first collaboration between NYC vocalist, songwriter and visual artist Fiorious and rising UK producer Austin Ato. The original version — and beautiful, trippy video — captured the attention of club music luminaries, from The Blessed Madonna to Tiga to Annie Mac. The track’s pulsating, sexy electro groove gets juiced up on steroids on these remixes: Montreal’s techno bad boy Martyn Bootyspoon unleashes the wildest swinging drums of the year on his reinvention, while Austin Ato serves his own Raw Club Dub, kicking the energy up into dangerous territory.

Fiorious & Bawrut, who notably made the 2019 pride anthem I’m Not Defeated (remixed by Honey Dijon), return with this bittersweet bounce, an ode to queer love and longing, with upcoming video directed by Samuel Douek (Little Mix, Anne Marie). Fiorious hailed by The Blessed Madonna for having “one of the records of the year” in 2022, while Bawrut fresh off collabs with Italian stars Liberato and Cosmo. 

FIORIOUS: “The song came about during a difficult breakup. Bawrut invited me to Madrid to work on music as a form of therapy. It’s a song of yearning and heartbreak, and one of my favorite, most personal  songs I’ve done.”

Following on from 2016’s excellent “Birsk” single on Futureboogie, Philipp Lauer returns to the label with a new three track single. The “Las Brisas” EP kick starts with the mechanical funk of “Pile”; acidic notes drip over heavy EBM drums whilst a hovering ‘Resse’ style bassline dominates, the influence of early house and industrial dance are ever present here on this belter of a track from the Tuff City Kids and Talamanca System player. More acid pressure can be found on “Clipper”, a blazing and dynamic slice of anthemic Balearic dance. Searing pads and lustrous melodies pour over the robust drum machine workout, that’ll have dancers reaching for the skies! Real stirring stuff from Lauer, which continues with closing track “Tyco”. Ricocheting stabs and cowbell hits bounce off a sturdy kick drum as the track flourishes with more on-point melodies and a snaking bass. Dripping with emotive refrains, Lauer brings his very best to the table here, and rounds off an EP that’s most definitely all killer and no filler !
