Sarkis is a global ambassador for deep house music based in Los Angeles, and has taken crowds from Miami to Dubai on journeys of physical abandon and inner discovery via his thumping, therapeutic, globally-influenced rhythms and melodies. As founder of Deep House LA and co-founder of the Beatport top-five label NCTRNL, Sarkis has worked to establish a foundational community for deep house through his conviction that the right beats and the right state of mind can heal and transform us. Sarkis’ releases on Sol Selectas, Underyourskin, Dream Culture, Mónada, and other labels of note touch dance music’s subterranean reaches, drawing out the listener’s emotional core through organic instrumentation and synthetic exploration– and his live sets demonstrate deep house’s potential to create community through the movement of sweating bodies and the connection between open minds.

The Alchemy of change - Spirituality can be defined as a philosophy of growth or change, benevolence and compassion. An understanding of a more inclusive interconnected perspective on life. A worldview, or world-experience, of self-improvement with a focus on awareness. It is this understanding of spirituality that also naturally leds to veganism, just as for Sarkis. He started being vegan on the 15th of February, 2016 after watching the Earthlings documentary which changed not only his diet but also his life. „Since I was a kid, I felt guilty eating animals and this freed my conscience like nothing else. Other than the spiritual healing, I’ve never felt physically and mentally better. My sleeping quality improved, my skin color changed, I have more energy and no more migraines.“ 

Many struggle to see the connection and importance of a vegan philosophy within a wider understanding of spirituality. Yet it does not take much, once we let go of preconceptions, to realize veganism is the path of least harm - to animals, the environment, and humans. Veganism is not only a diet, it is compassion and non-violence in practice. 
Remember, there is no seperation between all living creations, in the essence there is no better, there is no worse. We all come from the same source and there is no excuse in violence against anyone of us!
