Today I honor it with a remix - slapped, beaten, drugged, and f@cked like only Horvath could do. 

Figured it could use a little updating and a Presidential Address to illustrate the struggle of knocking some b!tch up that won't get off her lazy @ss and work. (Not really my true feelings regarding having children, but, I don't really live in the hood either.)

If you're a DJ, work this in to your mix. I guarantee people won't forget it. If you're a listener, let this be your bad day anthem or bump it in traffic. It sure works for me!

Aus Music label head and DJ-Kicks curator Will Saul launches a new mix compilation series called 'Inside Out' with a distinct concept, each installment will feature 100% new and unreleased music.

Here Mixmag premieres a fresh cut from Youandewan titled 'Insel 2000', a dreamy and melodic break beat tune that showcases a unique side to his musical persona.

Will Saul touched on how the vision behind the new series is to deliver somewhat of an exciting surprise with each release: "I wanted to try and recreate the feeling I used to get in the 90s when you went clubbing and heard your favourite DJ play, but had never heard the vast majority of the tracks he or she was playing. Your mind would be constantly blown by hearing totally new music for the first time. We've pretty much lost this with the proliferation of online mixes, Shazam, early EP premieres and free streams.”

For Will’s inaugural 'Inside Out' mix he tapped a collection of artists he’s worked closely with over the years, including Lone, Pearson Sound, Move D, Gerd, Youandewan, Martyn, Falty DL, Dauwd, Appleblim and Marquis Hawkes.

'Inside Out' is set for release March 30 with nine tracks also being released on 2x12" vinyl.

Desert Sound Colony's Holding Hands imprint taps a collection of buzzing underground artists for the 'Slam Jams Vol.1' compilation EP, featuring London-based artist Breaka laying down a jam true to his name with gripping breaks, chopped vocals and fluttering synth riffs. 

Desert Sound Colony describes the vision behind the new compilation EP: "For release numero 7 I have decided to switch up the format and put out a various artists EP. We’ve got a couple label regulars and a couple fresh faces, each bringing a different vibe but with one overarching theme. The tracks have gotta slam... All four tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms. Close your eyes, hold hands and experience transcendental space flight..." 

The 'Slam Jams Vol.1' EP, which also features tracks by Yutaro Sugawara, Tape Fear and Guava, is out soon.

My Lincoln : Written together with DXJX, an upcoming, talented and mysterious producer from Los Angeles, CA. It's a song that subliminally talks about the difficulty of deciphering life sometimes (and all of what's inside it). The distance created by lack of communication. An ocean of tears. Digging the Earth for crystals and looking for signs in the stars. Surrendering to a universal confusion, and the ultimate freedom of allowing ourselves, to be ourselves. Disappearing forever. The eternal life of its own of the creations we leave behind. 
Jade Stones : The intoxicating feeling of a dark dance floor that transcends time. 
Nessuno Mi Ferma : No one can stop me. Survival instinct kicking in through the primordial rhythms of a 4/4 signature, and some chords so warm that feel like naked hugs coming to save you.

For our forth release, T4T LUV NRG present an e.p. of two beautiful songs and one evocation by label co-founder, DJ, and producer Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison). “She’s Calling” is the third piece in Octo Octa’s two-year exploration of the connection between music and ritual, closing the loop on themes explored on her “For Lovers” ep (Technicolour, 2019) and full-length album “Resonant Body” (T4T LUV NRG, 2019). 

While many describe dance music in terms of escape, for Octo Octa and many others like her, dance music is about connection. The connections we feel on a dancefloor are transformative, but in time spent alone, dance music remains a powerful tool for connection with nature, with ourselves, and with something ineffable that feels like magic. The title track, “Goddess Calling,” captures a moment of such revelry, a result of the union of sound and ritual.  

Maya wrote the second song, “Find Your Way Home,” in early 2020, a few weeks before she cancelled her tour and headed back to the States because of the pandemic. She originally intended the title as a metaphor, the journey being internal, but the title would prove to be prescient. She made the song in order to take a trip into herself, to bring herself peace during an intense time.

Many religious and mystery traditions employ the use of uttered word formulas as a way to bring something into your life. “Spell for Nature” is Octo Octa asking in her own voice to connect with nature personified in the form of a goddess. The recording is about the moment when she saw something she knew was there all along. When she peaked behind the curtain and found something enveloping and eternal.
