This is a Synthwave track I composed using Serum 2 for all the synths. All I can say is WOW. Now I see why Serum/Serum 2 are so highly acclaimed and used by professionals. I haven't even scratched the surface of the software and the sound is night and day. Tonally, this track shares more in common with funk and disco music hence the name "Foxy Town." It sits right in a funk pocket and differs from your everyday "neon reverie" type tracks (although this type of music is cool too, no cap). 

I started off by writing the beat and then the bassline. After writing the bassline, I essentially improvised through the chord changes of the track. Finally, I kept the parts of the improv I liked and adjusted as needed.
