 В свои неполные 17 лет он совершил свою первую кругосветку - на велосипеде. С этого путешествия начинается новая жизнь Карла — путешественника-авантюриста. Он пересекал верхом на лошади степи Центральной Азии: от Казахстана до Узбекистана, совершил пеший переход от Сибири до Индии, но основной страстью Карла Марселя оставалось суровое Северное море. Пилот свободного аэростата и капитан дальнего плавания, он совершил два кругосветных плавания, пересёк Северное море в одиночку, а также совершил лыжный переход в полярную ночь к Полюсу относительной недоступности в Северном Ледовитом океане в составе экспедиции. 

В своих путешествиях он никогда не использует специальное, современное, техническое оснащение и передвигается абсолютно автономно.

В то время, которое Карл Марсель не путешествует, он посвящает себя музыке, в которой погружает нас в свои ощущения от его опасных путешествий, рассказывает о своём опыте и открытиях, предпочитая работать в труднодоступных для людей местах: в своём уединенном доме в северной части норвежских фьордов, или же в горной части Сибири…

Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The Huli are believed to have laid down roots in Papua New Guinea as far back as 45,000 years ago. Most of the Huli people are from the town of Tari, and many still live according to the traditional ways. “The Huli men are famous for their unique custom of creating and wearing impressive wigs decorated with feathers. They also wear bright facial paint in red, yellow and white — colors originally chosen to strike fear into their enemy in times of conflict. Nowadays, they usually wear them to sing and dance.”. The so-called Wigmen make their wigs out of their own hair and weave them with feathers from the island’s 700 bird species. Each feather carries its own symbolic meaning (such as strength and courage). “The forest in which we live is essential to us. It provides for all our needs, it is sacred, and I would do anything in my power to protect it,” writes Mundiya Kepanga, a 53-year-old Huli Wigman, “I hope that by helping people to better understand my culture, they will also respect our environment.”                                                                                                                    This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “A Wigmen Town Called Tari”. His father was a fisherman and his mother was a well-known chemist in Sweden. The yearning for risk, new sensations and experiments intertwined with the inherent willpower of Karl Marcel.

In his incomplete age of 17, he made his first trip around the world - on a bicycle. This journey opened a new life for Karl - an adventure traveler. He crossed the steppes of Central Asia on horseback: from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, made a foot crossing from Siberia to India, but the harsh North Sea remained the main passion of Karl Marseilles. An air balloon pilot and a long voyage captain, he made two round-the-world voyages, crossed the North Sea alone, and also made a ski transition in the polar night to the Pole of Relative Inaccessibility in the Arctic Ocean as part of an expedition.

In his travels, he never uses special, modern, technical equipment and moves completely autonomously.

During the time that Karl Marseille does not travel, he devotes himself to music, in which he immerses us in his sensations from his dangerous travels, talks about his experiences and discoveries, preferring to work in places that are difficult for people to reach: in his secluded home in the northern part of the Norwegian fjords, or in the mountainous part of Siberia .
