This was a bit more experimental in idea, although it's fairly generic in execution, but the title was inspired by either an article I read or something I saw about how there are still people being used as slaves in certain sections of the world.....and we all know...it's wrong.

Firefox Demon (Halloween Hardcore EP) - Pumpkin Breath

The final track, was going to be the A1 and maint rack, but to be honest I couldn't get the Halloween theme music looped properly and in synch with the BPM, so the loops a bit unclean; but oh well...a bit of a 'Chris Energy' moment. Still, came out pretty roughneck with the breaks and there's some neat sounds and samples running through this.

Overall pretty happy with my 'Halloween' themed EP, never been good with deadlines but actually completed this just in time. Hope you enjoy peeps (peepshow; creepshow, what the heck do we know...).

2nd tune off a self-proposed special 8-track EP "Joyride 2 Ecstasy". The main focus is on happy, uplifting Hardcore without being overtly cheesy, but hopefully creating a vibe similar to the happier end of the 1992/early 1993 Old Skool spectrum.

 Bit of useless trivia:

The main vocal sample is the deceased American poet Maya Angelou (hope you don't mind the sampling Maya!) and the idea came when I felt that the word 'Rainbow' was imperative with the title (for reasons unknown!). I knew instantly it was the right 'fit' and I started this last night, finished it earlier.

I did this track in a few hours today. I had a number of pre-made riffs I wanted to use; I didn't include any vox, FX or fancy tricks on this, just "straight-to-the-point" series of stabs, sounds and bass/beats.

If anyone thinks it lacks any of the above things not included let me know and I'll revise it, as I wasn't sure what vocals to use with it. I was pretty happy just with the way it was...

Firefox Demon - Kik Up A Riot (Instrumental Version)

Original 'draft' debuted on Phill 'Bassraver' Owen's show on Friday. Just needed a few tweaks here & there, but hapy with the way this one came together. The title is personal to a degree, it's mainly a triumphant response to the fact my wife and I left our home last year (forced upon reasons), rented it outfor 12 months and then went through some tough times and a few dark days; where we were just really regretful of the decision we'd made and couldn't wait to get our house back. Eventually come July, we "found our way back home". Just as it feels like 'home' when you're in a Rave. dancing to the best music of your life. Home is where the soul lives eh? That feeling of belonging. I thought that all kind of tied in nicely, if you know what I mean? ("We'll live as one family" as Urban Shakedown's 'Some Justice' so aptly summarised) :D

This is the first completed track I've managed this year after a number of hurdles and issues of self doubt etc (the usual insecurities). 

Once again it's a fairly basic non-vocal/gimmicky Hardcore tune with nothing too out of the ordinary but hopefully enough musicality to appeal to someone on some level.

Firefox Demon - You Promised Me Sunshine

I was meant to post this at the end of last year, it's part of an EP I'm working on using different monikers to represent the darker/moodier/introspective approaches to Hardcore as opposed to uplifting/piano based tracks . This is the first track sampling excerts from Lovecraft's "The Outsider" which I managed to source off YouTube and also one of the Hellraisr movies.

It came out exactly how I wanted it to sound, definitely one of my favourite compositions in this particualar sub-division of Hardcore. Hope you enjoy the trip into the realms of the Darkness awaiting....muhwahahahaha!

Unfortunately I couldn't get this finished in time to give to Phill (DJ Bassraver)for his Renegade Radio show on Friday, but I just rounded it off today. It's nothing too overly-complicated again; another "non-vocal", no frills - just straight up ballsy Hardcore with no punches pulled, but the usual FD tradition of riff after riff. Hope you all enjoy

I was fannying about with some samples and sounds I hadn't used before and I developed a loose template for what hours later became this track. Add a few tasty (and somewhat cheeky) acappella samples and I was off and running! I was trying to finish a few others before this even came into being! But I was so impressed with the finished results (yes, modest I know!) - I just had to share!

All my material was written and recorded on Renoise. No Hardware as A) I couldn't afford any and B) I probably wouldn't even know where to start.

My early stuff since 2014 was very ordinary as I didn't know what I was doing and was "feeling my way through". I still don't know how to properly arrange music according to music formalities & training, but I do my best to re-create the vibe and madness associated with 1990s style Hardcore/Rave, chiefly 1992/93 styles ;). I got better as I went along but I have ran out of room on my 'free account' and didn't financially have the "motivation" to pay and upgrade. 

I am looking into another way of providing a platform for my music though as there is a lot of it and and a lot of it hasn't been shared or released which is way better than my early stuff. IF and that's a big if....you wish to hear more or other stuff please feel free to drop me a line and I will do my best to oblige. Thank you for your support to date.
