The Ambient Zone is a beautiful journey into ambient and electronica inspired by universal themes of calmness, purity, relaxation and enrichment where Weightless is coupled with some exclusive first releases and other blissfully ambient tracks from Just Music artists and alumni.

Created instinctively and intuitively by Marconi Union, Weightless has been claimed to have therapeutic properties in the way the track almost appears to have a heartbeat running through it which slows down very gently throughout the piece, encouraging a deep sense of relaxation in the body, It's use of specific rhythms, beep bass tones, frequencies and intervals induce an almost trance like state in the listener.

Back when the world wasn't in an unreal state of lockdown, we headed over to LA to record an album with the legendary producer/musician/virtuouso Alain Johannes.

You have all probably heard the fruits of that recording event in our 10 track album 'What I Have Found Is Already Lost'.

Well, we actually recorded 11 tracks and this is the one that didn't land on the album. I can't quite think of why it didn't, as we love it, and the lyrical theme of the song seems to be more relevant than ever.

So here it is!

"She is ... " is a small tune I wrote for my wife and daughter. Jamming playing around with some chords and a theme based on the D-major scale. 

Notes:
This is the new mixed version where I have tried to add a bit more air and life to the mix with special focus on the drums.

Devon UK based Global Battle of the Bands 2013 winners, announce their new single ‘It’s Not Over’.

Firekind are a modern rock band fusing epic, soaring guitar and vocal melodies with driving, powerful drums and bass consisting of brothers Jas Morris (vocals, guitar), Dan Morris (bass, keys) and Robin Shute (drums). Original drummer and close friend of the band, Dan Collings played drums on this single release and debut album.

The band have played several successful tours of the UK, French/Swiss Alps and with profile bands Feeder, Reef, Big Country and Ocean Colour Scene amongst others.


The debut album ‘What I have Found Is Already Lost’ was produced in Los Angeles by the highly acclaimed and sought after Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age, Chris Cornell, PJ Harvey). This is due to be re-released with bonus tracks later in 2020.

Along the way, there have been escapades partying with the Foo Fighters in London at the ‘Sound City’ film launch, trading muffins for beer with Tinie Tempah, introducing Sharleen Spiteri (Texas) to tequila & orange and teaching Eliza Doolittle how to “Blue Steel”. 

Firekind are here for fun and to set alight speakers and torch stages alike…
