When Autumn Leaves

A song I wrote written with a friend in 1982. It is inspired by the 1973 book 'The Dark Is Rising' by Susan Cooper - we had read it in school. A film version of the book was released a couple of years ago - I think it was OK, but it didn't quite the Harry Potter level of success that was hoped for it by the makers.

When we were 16, we thought this song was going to make us popstars but - obviously - that never happened. I have tried to record it in an 80s style. Hope you like. Cheers

My Glowing Heart

I was playing around with Garageband and pulled this together. It is my usual mix of loops, samples and odd bit of original stuff played over the top - but this one also includes some female vocal samples that I discovered on my hard drive. I can't even remember where they came from!

Me my iMac, Garage Band, an old casio keyboard, a Squier Electric Guitar, Zoom RT-123 Rhythm Machine, Zoom 505 effects, a selection of Sample CDs and a small collection soft synths downloaded from the internet. Mix them all together with the occasional good idea and bingo! A song... of sorts.
