The practice of Sonic Healing Immersion Therapy (S.H.I.T.) involves interpretation and emotional amplification of a client’s state of mind via improvised, yet expert sound administration.

An often confusing and unpredictable experience, S.H.I.T. invites participants to follow and respond to a series of seemingly irrelevant instructions. The result is an intense hit of noise at just the right frequency to annihilate whatever ills are circling. Often too loud to think (helpful for eradicating intrusive thoughts) S.H.I.T. tends to last around three minutes and and has been clinically proven.

Assessment 2

The new single from London dream-pop outfit Firestations, following on from their Automatic Tendencies project which saw three experimental EPs, and accompanying art collections, released from August 2020 to Summer 2021.

This new track is a melancholy meditation on young love and doomed romance, arriving just in time for the Christmas party season.

With trademark intertwined vocals from Mike and Laura, it also features special guest Neil Walsh (Smoke Fairies, Videocean, Shattercones) on viola, as well as a rare, scorched-earth guitar solo (like a frustrated dad going epic in a guitar shop) from the band’s lead guitarist Martin (who is not a dad).

For fans of emotional alt-country - think Sparklehorse, John Cale, Wilco, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Neil Young, Herman Dune, Sharon Van Etten - albeit selectively filtered through refined (repressed) British sensibilities.
