I'm in love with this song, it has a fantastic vibe.

From the immensity of space to the lounge of a spaceship on a journey !

This track is special, it started with me send a structure to Caturday, then Caturday ignoring the structure while writing something Jazzy and Funky. Then she added the piano intro which I turned into an ambient pad and re-arranged the entire song. This is really 2 songs in one : Ambient and Jazz/Funk. I re-wrote the drums so they fit better to what Caturday wrote. The bass was also replaced. Originally played by Caturday on a real bass guitar, I changed it for a more electronica feel. All of this done, and this is how it sounds.

Welcome to the World is a song near and dear to my heart. Clear back in 2019, I found out I was going to be a dad, and I was so overwhelmed with so many emotions. This song is more or less a story without words to me. 

A couple questions I've had about this song:

Q: Why isn't there a lead in the first drop(s)?
A: I played around with so many leads in this song, and nothing sounded good, so I opted to write it in the style of hymnal chorus, with the goal of the bass and soprano ends of the chords more or less functioning as counter melodies to each other. I'm pretty happy with the result, and if you don't like it, well, that's ok. It's just how I feel best represents the emotions I felt with this song.

Q: Why didn't you try to add vocals?
A: Because 1) I've tried and failed, and the words just do not come close to capturing the emotions of what I've felt. I might release an edit in the future with vocals, but I'd rather the original be exactly as I have come to love this song; and 2) my vocal range is absolute trash and I have no skills in singing, nor the money to hire someone else to sing for me haha.

Keep on twinkling, little star...

This song started with the handbells and evolved into a track trying to capture the feeling of wonder and fascination with a starry night sky. (Apparently I like making songs about the sky.) It's also put into practice lots of things I've learned over the last year, from improving my mixing skills to simply fleshing out and polishing my tracks even more, and I'm extremely proud of the result. I hope to do more stuff like this in the future, so leave a like if you want to hear more!
