Until You Love (I Dont Know Why)

It has been many years since I set foot on Indian soil. I romanticized the foreign journey. I wanted to breath in. I wanted to inhale an ancient air. I practiced traditional singing techniques and learned the Indian musical scales. I ate the spices and drank the sea. But it eventually spit me out. Now, it's a memory, and like memories it adds to the richness of my skin and soul. Home isn't a place searched for; It isn't created. It is the shell of a turtles back. Present always and more than enough.
