As captain this year, I definitely felt the ease in making my and Tanya's set ideas come in to some physical form. Since I knew how to use a specific tool and how to work with music, I could work through several renditions of songs, segments, and vibes.
As always, I urge other teams to develop their own in-house system of mixing. It is always easier to make a mix if you know the set, vision, and vibe of a performance you're preparing for. A mix is more than what you dance to for 8 minutes -  it can make or break a performance. It has the ability to set any kind of aura you want within your audience, and take them along with you for a ride.
I'm glad I got to work with our team once again and give our dancers and our audiences something we're excited to dance to. As always, I'm open to all feedback, both good and bad, as I hope to continue improving!

We are so excited to share our recent NYE halftime performance in collaboration with Klasikhz, Ishaara Dance Company and Official Wizard Girls! It was truly special to see 3 different dance styles come together over amazing music. A big THANK YOU to the NBA and Washington Wizards for this opportunity and to all of our fans in DC and around the world for your support!

Additionally, with the recent frigid temperatures and storms in the northeast, we would like to bring awareness to the less fortunate stranded just blocks outside the arena we performed. Please check out our fundraiser for National Coalition for the Homeless, any donation amount helps.
