Like an alien being from outer space, Alienata dabbles in the foreign, the mystical and the outerworldly. A self-described sound obsessive, her sets are filled with auditory obscurities, encompassing lost gems from the realms of electro, IDM, techno and Acid. Her exact musical focus is hard to pinpoint, since her influences are varied and include sounds from the UK, Detroit, jazz, dub and disco. The only certainty one has while listening to Alienata is that one will be surprised by the sounds she conjures up. It remains a great mystery where she draws her inspiration and her music from, perhaps she really isnt from this world. In either case she has already infiltrated dance floors across this earth and infected us with her sound.

La granadina Anika Kunst, a parte de ser una buena cliente de la tienda, tengo el gusto de compartir con ella ser dj de confianza de Ben Sims en Barcelona, ya que desde hace unos años suele pedir a uno de los dos para abrir sus noches en la ciudad. Además es una de las artistas de la próximo varios en mi sello End Of Dayz que saldrá en enero. 

Pinchando desde hace más de 20 años lleva  la última década asentada en Barcelona donde ha tenido varias residencias y fiestas propias, ya sea las Technológica junto a Kristina, su paso por Insert, Rezonanz y Selectors, la noche que tiene en marcha en la actualidad.
Sus gustos en lo que djs se refiere van en la onda de Mulero, DVS1 o su amigo Kr!z pero hace una selección diferente específica para djs que usan vinilos: The Lady Machine, Stojche, Phara, Lowsystem, Benales o Random Stuff, pasando varios de ellos por sus fiestas.

En cuanto a productores se inclina por Reeko, Sterac, Altinbas y Decka entre otros, así que ya podéis imaginar lo que va a sonar en este mix.
Su calidad como mezcladora la ha llevado a actuar en clubes o festivales como DGTL, Fabrik en Madrid, el Corsica de Londres, About Blank en Berlín, Under Club Buenos Aires o el Gare de Oporto, al que nombra como club favorito.

Su faceta como productora se materializa en 2014 y hasta la fecha sus releases más destacados son su EP en Rekids y dos EP's en Symbolism, el más reciente "Sin Rodeos" del pasado mes de agosto o el remix que hizo para Rødhåd también de este año. En este mix podéis escuchar algún "unreleased" suyo así como de algunos de los artistas anteriormente nombrados.

RHYTHM CONTROL BARCELONA MIXES 005: ANIKA KUNST

Over the past years Red Rooms established himself in Berlin's electronic music scene. Known for his distinctive sound and minimalist approach, he captivates audiences with his hypnotic, deep yet driving productions and DJ sets. He has garnered recognition as a producer from well-known labels such as Planet Rhythm, Drawner Records and Out Of Place Records. Esteemed DJs such as MARRØN, Rødhåd, Justine Perry, DVS1 and Setaoc Mass have recognized his skill and regularly include his tracks in their sets. The great support and feedback from the scene solidifies Red Rooms' position as an emerging artist who is making waves in the electronic music community around the globe. With several releases under his belt and more to come this year Red Rooms is one to watch.
