After releasing their critically acclaimed debut album CHIVVY have now become a duo and finished a new EP. The second single 'Reign', invites you to a preview of their upcoming EP's new sound. 'Reign' is the song about fantasy and reality and about taking control of your life or letting yourself fall. The music, which was recorded with and co-produced by Daniel 'Fagge' Fagerström (Viagra Boys, Jenny Wilson, Nina Kinert etc), is still as grand and dreamy as before.

CHIVVY creates a large and evocative soundscape with atmospheric guitars, synths and dreamy vocals. The music is often compared to bands such as Warpaint, Beach House, and Cocteau Twins. Last year they released their debut album which was praised by both Swedish and international press and received, among other things, 5 stars by GAFFA and was classified as one of Sweden's best albums of 2021 by HYMN. In 2022, CHIVVY was nominated for the GAFFA prize and the Manifest Awards.

Originally hailing from the Thames estuary coastal town of Southend-on-sea but now residing in London, First Day Of Spring, a 5 piece outfit led by Samuel Jones’ songwriting, has bloomed (accompanied by(?) 

Previously in bands such as The Bellybuttons, Velvet Morning, Rocket Ship TV & Mr. Yolk, the band has always been involved in different musical projects. (I don’t know if you want to find some features of those bands?)

First Day Of Spring's music has various themes, from storytelling and autobiographical descriptions of a creative TRYING in their twenties to a focus on sound, euphoric & exuberant, or through gentle melancholic stillness, taking the listener out of their own reality is the aim of the song writing. Ultimately, First Day Of Spring wants you to feel something.

Their influences range from such luminaries as Sparklehorse, Spiritualised, Modest Mouse, Silver Jews, Sonic Youth, The Clean, Cleaners From Venus, Cocteau Twins and many more.
