What is First Place Loserz? Well, we are a group of people with a multitude of interest and hobbies from Kalamazoo MI.
First Place Loserz is the title of the group because it represents finishing second, not quite hitting the mark. We all have dreams and aspirations of being some creative super geniuses. Rappers, artists, writers, and comedians that still have regular 9-5 ish type jobs. We haven’t made it to first place yet. Don’t feel bad, its a work in progress!
This group is and will be taking on new shapes all the time, adding people that have a passion about something and willing to speak/write/perform on those topics. Topics we are passionate about right now are music, culture, comedy,  sports. politics, and society in general.
The driving force behind started with Leland Pratt needing a creative outlet after bowing out of the hip-hop music scene after over 15 years. Lee decided to take up comedy with the urging of J. Francisco and has started doing stand up, but the idea didn’t stop there either. Lee approached Steve Cook for website help, and the idea grew into a larger project.
We want to help spread the word of what other people in our great hometown of Kalamazoo are up to. We have recorded and are releasing new podcasts featuring local artists, comedians, musicians and anyone we see as trying to make an impact in the local area.
We have the Inappropriate Lee podcasts, and Jabber Jawz podcasts started now. We will be coming up with new content and ideas all the time.
We also will be planning a fundraiser soon with comedy and music acts, so keep an eye out for that as well.
