This is my first dubstep track. "新時代" (=New era) is not only a very important song on my journey, but it also marks a turning point in my production - "style". In this song I was able for the first time to get the sounds I wanted through sound-design. I hope you all can enjoy the track as much as I did enjoy producing it!

Today is my birthday lol.
"成長桜" is basically a dream coming true. I always wanted to write a Japanese song with Japanese lyrics. I would never have thought that I'd manage it to produce something like this so early in my "carrier", but thanks to Azia and Yunime this dream is no longer a dream but reality.

"七夕" or in Romaji "tanabata" translates to english as "the seventh evening" and has it's base in an astronomic event where Wega and Altair meet each other for the only time of the year. The tradition of the Tanabata as it is celebrated in Japan has it's root's in a originally chinese fairy tale of a cattle herder and a weaver (in the japanese Version a weaver princess) seperated to the opposite sides of the milky way as their love had a negative impact on their prodoctivity. 

For me 七夕(=Tanabata) always tends to fall under all of the things, I connect with summer, especially having things like Natsumatsuris in mind. This being said, I kinda fell in love with the idea, reading a bit about the background and during my work on the song. I for myself could not get away from envisioning and connecting it with a very wide yet quite feeling and upon thinking about my ideas, I just had to appriciate the contrast of the universe's "coldness" and the "warmth" of the stars and especially the love, the story infuses in the, in itself, astronomic event.
I would never dare claiming to be able to getting anywhere near doing tanabata "justice" with my song, but atleast I think, I managed to convey a part of my feelings towards the idea pretty well in it.

Background/Story:
This track was something I thought about quite a lot. I for the first time tried to implement traditional Japanese instruments in my Futurebass-thingies. I have to also admit that I LOVE KOTO. I can not express how much I like to use it's sound to improve the shape of my leads and I also love the Shamisen for doing so. I think this is the first time me actually doing so in the drop as main stylistic device so I will have an eye on how it turns out (not that a bad reaction would stop me lol).
The whole idea behind this song though was to sum up all the efforts one might undergo in wandering up a mountain. As beautiful as the experience of the actual way is the feeling of standing on top of the mountain  (or maybe sometimes only hill) is something that makes yourself proud of your "achievment" and litterally allows you to look down on your efforts.
I hope I could cover that feeling quite well!

Background/Story:
When I think of summer in Japan (I'm not an expert on this btw.) the first thing that comes to my mind that has nothing directly to do with the weather is firework ("花火"). I stopped counting the c*ckblocks fireworks are responsible for and started concentrating more on the idea of different colors and the beauty of explosion (what a Megumin thing to say lol). I tried to make the contrast of the firework and the silence directly before in anticipation and after pretty clear through loud and quiter parts. I again heavily relied on acoustic instruments while trying to make a drop that fits the futurebass style of music I'm not only enjoying but trying to make in this scenario. I worked in the sound of fireworks as well in the end (cutting it to the beat though) to add even more of that explosion element along the way and giving the later choruses more power alltogether.
I really hope I could give you another perspective to 花火 through my approach!

花火

With this track my EP "夏休み" comes to an end. Beachepisode might not be something that is related directly to a summer in Japan (for everyone) but I'm not a person who would care as long as there are well certain "arguments". Also it was one of the tracks again played on "Hanafest".

Background/Story:
Beach Episode was my try on a more summerly vibe of house while also not straight up making tropical house. As well I added Koto and Shamisen because WHY NOT (those instruments really sound *chefs kiss*).
I figured I say "I enjoyed making the song" or something along those lines quite often so it might be a bit of an empty statement as I genuinely enjoy the production of every song I make. So maybe the way to go here is more to say that I for the first real time tried making a full house track.
