The majority of beneficiaries of this year’s cohort were nursing mothers and senior high school leavers. Speaking with the Co-founder for NIL, Mr Alfred said it was not a deliberate action by the hub to have more nursing mothers in this cohort. According to him, they have always strived to empower everyone in the community that they find themselves in.

ÉnergieRich received donations on behalf of SAE International
They facilitated a STEM Innovation Contest through SAE for 4th-8th grade students. 

Students are asked to identify a real-world issue they cared about and then imagine a solution to address the problem through STEM concepts.  

John T. was our first-place winner. He and his father researched organizations and (wonderfully) chose ÉnergieRich. The goal of this contest was to inspire and empower children to make a difference.

”The whole project is about engineering and teaching Africans to be able to produce things that we import into the country. training engineers to substitute some of the things we import into the country. Sometimes we have faults in them and we cannot fix them so that is just the main idea. So we aim to impact knowledge in junior and senior high school students.”

9 Seed Awardees along with artistic director Keng Sen Ong, Prince Claus Laureates Carla Fernández and m7red will get together for the Prince Claus Fund Mobile Lab hosted by 2020 Prince Claus Principal Laureate Ibrahim Mahama at the Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art (SCCA) in Tamale.
The Mobile Lab brings together aspiring and experienced changemakers and provides an alternative co-thinking space focusing on knowledge production from the global south. For a week, these cultural workers, activists, thinkers, writers, and artists will have an opportunity to exchange ideas, and visit local cultural sites, allowing space for new collaborations and ideas to flourish.
