The Bike Bloc was a civil disobedience technique developed for the Copenhagen Climate Summit (COP15) by the Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination. To participate in the Bike Bloc I organized first Sound Swarm, a bicycle-mounted multi-channel acoustic intervention to inspire, distract or disrupt.  Anyone with a boombox and a bicycle can join the Swarm by tuning into one of the of the FM frequencies emitted by the Queen Bee.
The Queen Bee is taking a holiday this year, you can find her resting in the Disobedient Objects exhibit at the V&A Museum in London. For her stay in the museum I've composed this special soundtrack to compliment the other objects in the room. It flows like a DJ mix, blending and beat matching words, stun grenades, tin pot percussion, and street bands with my own compositions in a series of musical movements. Special thanks go out to the people featured in selected recordings, some of whom are professional musicians, others informally singing or speaking, I hope I've used your voices respectfully. Credit is given when possible.
