I've just had some fun layering poppy vocals on top of some cool tunes I've been listening too lately. That's basically all. I didn't had not too much creative or productional input into these so I'll redirect all the credits (and rights) to the original producers of these tracks. A product of the Dutch seaside, Seake is driven by a desire to experiment as much as possible with his music. The producer turns to jazz, world music and house when he creates. Validated by BBC 6 and Jazzanova, the press knows talent when it sees it. His musical expertise is put to good use on ‘Blue Dreams’, with a UK jazz vibe orchestrated by synths and steamy percussion. A good title for immersing yourself in its world, with its constantly changing landscapes.

Fish Tapes consists of 5 friends who share a passion for music. Responsible for part of the night program of surf school The Shore, the gentlemen know how to put down an exciting energetic dj set. Besides the dj collective, they also organize events and run a label. For their Lockers set, they delivered 2.5 Hours of heavy hitters live from underground Scheveningen.

To conclude our interviews, we sat down with two of Het Vluchtelingenkind’s core volunteers: Iara and Jasmine. Both women have been involved as volunteers at the foundation quickly after its start and have been dubbed by their colleagues as ‘the backbone’ of the daily activities. We inquired about their motives to volunteer, how they make an impact on the children and what being a volunteer at the foundation has teached them as a person.

In the second interview of our collaborative program, we talk with Oubayd “Obi” Chahbari and Zieshaan Alioli. Obi started an internship at het Vluchtelingenkind to help the other volunteers with the day-to-day activities at the foundation and is also developing a sports program for the children. Zieshaan started out giving Dutch language lessons and slowly became an all-rounder at Vluchtelingenkind. We discussed their perspectives on the goals of the organization, their interactions with the children, their dreams for the foundation’s future and social context that surrounds refugees in the Netherlands and beyond.

Furthermore, we look at the journey of the foundation from his perspective and their distinctive approach to its target audience.
