Swiss-born, Berlin-based artists Sauna and Wyatt have joined forces to present the release on their new KNDK Records imprint and they deliver 3 original groove centric club cuts for the funkiest of minimalist dancefloors.

We kick off our look at the ‘Planet X’ EP with the hypnotic A1 ‘Land On Planet X’. The stripped-back grooves twist and turn alongside a bumping bassline that bobs and weaves around taught percussion that lays the groundwork for some of the tracks well-crafted twilight moments. These deeper moments are short-lived as the focus is most definitely on the perfectly swung grooves that intertwine the full A-side of the record.

Flipping the record over B1 track ‘Atipico’ is much more minimal leaning with similar musical elements found on side A but the drums are more crunched, the groove has been dialed up a notch. B2 ‘Grey Sand’ is a more upfront cut with the excellent kick and bass combo working perfectly in tandem. The opening salvo from Sauna and Wyatt and their KNDK Records imprint is a solid one and hints at great things to come.

Track 1: System Glitch sets the pace of the release. Tight drum work, rolling basslines and modular soundscapes really shine in the track with a warped pad gliding in and out, adding more atmosphere. Perfect for those after-hour terrace sessions.

Track 2: Quantum is a heavy hitter! Deep low end and big drum patterns are noticeable in this track. A warped vocal that pops in and out adds an extra mood and slots in nicely with the other elements. This one is a favourite of ours.

Track 3: Midnight Line rounds the release up with modular bass stabs, field recordings and more solid drum work. A more laidback feel but no doubt will find its way to a dance floor.

We hope you enjoy this release as much as we do!

Release date is scheduled for Autumn 2020 and has already received some great feedback from some of our favourite artists.

On this occasion we are proud to present the music of the Argentine Gus Bonani which delights us with three original tracks full of Minimal sound and with rhythmic patterns belonging to the House, sounds and rhythms that will surely make more than one dance.
The unique, warm and catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special essence on this EP. In addition to the originals, a remix by Mexican Sloo, who made the remix his own by adding a more marked bass line to his version of the track "Deditos Cruzados".
