There is a game in the community called "the song game" in which you write a song/jam a week, based on a prompt or idea. It doesn't have to be perfect or finished, the main idea is to get to making more music more consistently.

In this new edition, we present the work done by the trio of the city of Rosario, under the alias of EMPATHIC DECAYING FREQUENCY, led by Franco Cinelli, together with two great local artists: Esteban Gutierrez and Lazzade (David Lazzarin).

Their casual studio sessions have resulted in this new edition of the label, essential to carry in your bag and adaptable to any situation of expression.

The album, with the title "Sudden Encounter" EP, demonstrates a modern sound, capable of going through a fusion of styles, from environmental breaks and down tempo to electro. Probably one of the best works of these DJs and producers from Rosario, who have shown us their permanent evolution with this delicate presentation.

The nights are getting cold and the fog is closing in. It's around this time of year that we tend to engulf ourselves in the mist of ambient soundscapes and eerie music which reflects the spirit of the season. 

Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet is a musician and creative based in the suburbs of Lyon, for many years he has run a festival called Mirage which is dedicated to new forms of media art and expression. As a musician he creates beautiful, delicate mirages himself - ambient soundtracks and ethereal music which is highly immersive and magical. 

His most recent cassette, "Stories concerning the heroes and rituals", was self released and caught our attention with it's intricate poignancy and dream like ambience. 

We felt that he would be perfect to contribute to our Monday mix series and so he does...

For episode 28, we are changing up the format a bit with both a mix and a separate interview. Our guest mix is from the Dutch composer Rutger Hodemaekers to celebrate the release of his new album The Age of Oddities which came out on FatCat's 130701 imprint on March 5, 2021.  Hodemaekers takes you on a cinematic journey all his own, perfect for long walks in nature or sitting in front of a fire. We also catch up with Nils Frahm for an interview to talk about his new live album Tripping With Nils Frahm, which was edited and perfected from multiple performances in his home town of Berlin at the Funkhaus, which is also the home to his recording studio. Along with the interview, there will be a few selections from the new album.
