Kobe Dupree is a producer, DJ, and live artist who is deeply embedded in Chicago's thriving techno community. With a focus on minimalism, spatial transformation and technique, he is pushing the envelope and always creating interesting waveforms along the way. You can find Kobe deep in the studio or throwing parties around the city with the Low Visibility Crew and working behind the counter at Gramaphone Records helping you find the records that you never knew you needed. The new FRiends and Family mix is live! For episode 45, we have a real treat from @shadyackk, just under an hour of club rhythms and techno bass explorations. Shadya is a DJ, producer, and resident for the Tempio Nero nights in Montreal. She has been the founder and label manager of @chezkitokat since 2006 and has been involved in music through writing lyrics and poetry since 1996. She was part of the electro-synth pop band Beat For Sale as a singer and performer (2006–2014). At the same time, she toured as an artist in France, Canada, and the US. Her mixing explores the dark side of techno. At the moment, she is working on new tracks and a live set.

In addition to her work as an artist, she is a music journalist for Panm360. She supports inclusive night life culture (MTL24H/24H, FANTOM), intersectional feminism, and fights against systemic racism.

Silent Servant is the primary pseudonym of California electronic artist Juan Mendez, who produces techno with a heavy post-punk/industrial influence. He first began releasing material as Silent Servant during the mid-2000s, when he was a key member of the influential techno collective Sandwell District. Following numerous well-received underground singles, he made a major impact on the techno world with Negative Fascination, his acclaimed 2012 full-length debut. Following Mendez's co-founding of the Jealous God label in 2013, as well as several singles and collaborations with the likes of Marcel Dettmann and Phase Fatale, Silent Servant released his second album, the more overtly EBM-influenced Shadows of Death and Desire, in 2018.  2023 sees Mendez continuing to Play the US and Europe, New releases On L.I.E.S., Tresor and maintaining his sixth year of the Optimistic Decay radio show on NTS.
