RIOT 87 rose to the top of Serbia's EDM scene before they switched on amps, plugged in guitars, and launched themselves into a new realm of hybrid metal. After destroying seven songs by FiXT artists Celldweller, Blue Stahli, and Squarehead on last year's remix EP Dubstep With More Muscle, they now return with Blackout Station Vol. 01. Proceed with caution: the fourteen cuts of instrumental mayhem herein contain juggernaut riffs and blistering electronics that will blow out every transformer in your neighborhood.

Blue Stahli's forthcoming sophomore album, The Devil, gathers more steam with Chapter 02, which builds on the bullrush sonics of Chapter 01. Two new songs, "Ready Aim Fire" and "Enemy", kick out head-chopping metal riffs and breakneck breakbeats. These are fleshed out by two instrumental interludes and three remixes by Wildpuppet, OCTiV, and Animattronic that explore the electronic possibilities inherent in Blue Stahli's tunage. If the devil's gonna getcha, at least go down with good music reverberating through your skull.

Celldweller and Star Wars finally collide with Klayton’s take on the famed “Imperial March.” Through all unique instrumentation and vocal work, Celldweller dives deep into the dark side with his aggressive and explosive take on this famous film movement.

“Star Wars had a huge impact on me as a child. This, as well as science fiction as a whole, has clearly influenced my look and sound — so covering The Imperial March was a natural fit,” Klayton said.

The inspiration for the cover is an ode to a film series that has shaped both Celldweller’s music and artistic influences throughout his career — climaxing with the most powerful cover of the song to date.

Musically, the chainsaw pop of "Never Dance Again" is Bret's love letter to the 80s. Thematically, the song is a love letter to...well, you'll see. In case it isn't overly obvious to you after listening, Bret's a jealous lover. Let that be a word of warning to any of his fans who wear some other band's T-shirt to a Blue Stahli show. "Never Dance Again" comes accompanied by a smashing remix courtesy of Bret's label-mate Josh Money. In turn, Blue Stahli has also been busy under lockdown remixing a new Josh Money tune, which you'll hear later this summer. For now, we at FiXT just hope Bret doesn't drop the soap.
