First version of NEW DAY NEW RUN, really much like the night version of the track. 

I was going through my old hardrive and found this very very dusty draft, which I still like today tbh ! I remember producing that one at covid time, during the end of the endless canadian winter. If you have read my other track's descriptions, you might have in mind that at this point of the timeline I was not doing so well, visa problems, no studies, etc. Somehow you can feel the despair in the track, I guess ?

It's funny cause finding this very nostalgic sound like demo, while I was going through old stuff, brought an even bigger nostalgia feeling in my chest. 

I see my family members getting older, I realize they wont be here for my lifetime. I think about the 7 years I have spent in Montreal, the relationships that shaped me, the loves lost in time now, these times will never come back. If I feel scared, is it because I refuse to accept the challenge to go further ? And why is that even a challenge in first place ? 

Sometimes, like now, I would like to go back to the time when I used to spend the summer with my cousins in France. I missed the first 4 years in Montreal, when making music was an experiment each time, when organising an event felt like you became the ceo of something, when the sky was another blue and the air had another flavor. I missed being young and stupid, smoking weed and doing cocaine in a stranger's appartement. I missed being a durable relationship, I miss having no plan for the future, I miss all of that. I am missing something. 

But today I love myself, I love my nostalgia taking over my heart as I am writing this words, I love the men I became, I love what I think and what I tend to embody. I love what I do with my friends and I love them too. 

I dont know where this life is taking me but I ride it like the waves of my hometown. Shout out to you reading this, shout out to Tristan, Dorian, Lukas, the guys who saw me at my worst when I came back on the island, shout out to my mom, my dad, my sister, grandma, all the members of my family. Big shout out to all the friends I organized event with back then, Zoe, Victor, shout out to Max who I still do crazy shit with as of today, shout out to Emiliano who helped me carry many tears, all theses humans, I love them, I love them.
